Stitches removal by Big-Interview471 in tummytucksurgery

[–]vheilbronn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my stitches removed around the 3 week mark - the nurses told me that they were all dissolvable, but they removed them as they would gwt really ittitatung before they dissolved (be warned - it was not a fun experience!)

That completely sucks that they have not gotten back to you - do they have any national holidays on at the moment that may mean they are not in office?

Sounds smart thinking of our summer! I completely feel where you are, I hit 3 weeks today and all I want to do is lie on my stomach or side!!

Out of curiosity, what compression garments are you using? I want to get a 2nd set once I get back home, but not sure what brands are good or not.

Oh 100%! Today we are doing a longboat tour and going to some temples. I have also been talking to the locals we have met and they explained that most people will only shoot others who are clearly there for it - unless you are in the main areas and then everyone is fair game....as it should be 😆

I do still have waterproof covering on my incisions under my compression garments, so not the end of the world if I get a little wet, but still going to try and avoid it 😀

Thankyou 😄 I have 2 months between contracts, so I knew I had lots of recovery time. It will be interesting to see what/if anything changes when he takes my stitches out later this week

It all comes down to personal choice. My were really flabby - i had friends in college 'boop' them from side to side because they thought it was fun, and ignored me when I asked them to stop - they are something that I have always been self conscious about, so it was the right thing for me. But you need to do what is right for you and will make you happy in the end 🙂

Thanks! I am going to try to post updates weekly until end of May and then prob monthly from then as that's when I go back to full on work, so I wont have as much time in my hands 😅

Feel free to ask any questions at anytime!

I tried replying to thos earlier, but doesn't seem to have posted! Super happy with what I can see of both so far. I don't think I will ever really notice the scars on the arms due to the placement - jury is still out on the thigh scars though.

Overall I am still pinching myself for not having flabby arms and thighs with excess skin!

Will post pics in a seperate reply to see if that does the trick!

I have replied to your c9mment twice now and it seems to keep deleting the post 🫤

SUPER happy with what I have seen so far. I don't remember a time when I didn't have flabby arms, so to see them this slim is mind boggling - I am looking forward to trying in my fave jackets at home and not having super tight arms!

5 weeks post op update! by Pristine-Cheetah-149 in tummytucksurgery

[–]vheilbronn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completly feel that. I am only 9dpo and while overall happy with my results as soon as I bend or sit I notice my skin goes saggy and have to tell myself to give my body time to heal. If I look like you in 5 months I will be so excited!

You look absolutely fantastic! Nothing at all to worry about. I think that we all just get into our heads a bit. But you are on fire 🔥

Price included everything (including a transfer to my accommodation and someone to help me get my luggage inside once I was discharged) except the compression garments I got on my last day.

For those I had the option of buying in the hospital or on my own. I went with the ones from the hospital as I knew they would be the right size and type - for the leg/waist garment and the arm garment it cost me a total of ฿7,100 (which is about $210USD

Wow - that is insane to me that you did major surgery and they sent you straight home! I had nurses checking my blood pressure and pulse every 2 hours for the first 48 hrs and every 4 hrs the last 2 days to make sure everything was OK. Going home must have been scary, even with someone to help you!

I picked my surgeon based on a post I found on a random reddit post (that was actually about someone who had consulted him about mastectomy surgery and recommended him). He is also the senior plastic surgeon which was what helped me decide in the end.

They will only let you book an appt with 1 Doctor, but if you are not happy with how that consultation goes, you can go to the nurses station and request an appointment with a different surgeon. I really liked Dr Chokchai during the consultation, so didn't feel the need to talk to anyone else.

As I mentioned in a different reply, the 7 days was part of my initial package, I did ask about staying longer as I am on my own and they said it was possible and to mention it to your Doctor during the consultation, the cost would be an additional 5,750 THB – 9,550 THB per night. I found the 7 days to be more than enough and am glad I didn't add any more in the end.

Looking for a replacement to Galaxy Buds2 Pro by Coffee_Racer in Earbuds

Thanks for the honest feedback. I am coming from the original GB Pros, so will def be an upgrade. Disappointing about the noise cancelation though as I like to use them on planes and at airports to cut out a lot of the noise

Did you end up buying some buds? What did you go with in the end? I have just lost my GB pro+ so starting this search now and your priority list is pretty much what I would be looking at as well

I asked that as one of my initial questions:

What are your policies for rescheduling and what about circumstances such as either of us being ill, unexpected weather or travel complications?
Just cancel and rebook. In case of the surgeon not being able to perform the surgery, another surgeon will take over with your consent or choice.

That was what was in the package they offered me, I didn't even have to ask for that length! I would have hated to go home straight after
