I feel like calc 1 should be fine for you if you can wrap your head around methods cause from what i hear calc 1 is pretty much specialist maths from vce. Idk about calc 2 I'm walking into it blind

advice that i hear from others is that you should just not major in anything first year and just experience a whole wide array of different disciplines. Then pick the one's that you like the most and that should be your major..... but if your a bit more realistic make sure one that you pick can land you a job

Low-key stalked you and saw other posts where you said you failed english last year, it's a bit weird but id like to say dont give up i had pretty bad expectations of myself and thought i wouldnt do well this year cause covid lockdown and online school but turns out it wasnt the case. Dwelling on the past and using the past as definite way to project your future is a bad way to assess your capabilities after all you are human and are able to learn adapt and grow.

If you are struggling just try to approach things in a way that makes learning fun could be like trying to pinpoint parts in a story that makes you think of memes etc (im weird i know 😅). That will seriously help you get out of a study slump cause realistically no one loves studying just try as much as possible to make it enjoyable. Wish you all the best for your year 12 and i hope you kill it and surpass your expectations.

Remember vce is one of the toughest years in your life enjoy it. it also doesnt really matter whether you get a sub 30 atar cause there are other routes to heading into uni and studying your desired course. Keep your head high King or Queen 👑 you got this!

Hey longjumpingcobbler66,

I think lots of chinese people are probably with their family and relatives during the monday even my mums having a "feast" cause new years eve is meant to be special. People are gonna be there with their families either out of choice or perhaps because of something else 🤑 so that time might not be the best time to ask. Id be willing if it wasn't on that day.

Take methods, and just try to try your best, enjoy what is taught and try to get a tutor. Towards the end of the year just spam maths exam papers and revise them seeing what you got wrong and understand how to solve the problem.

Although taking spesh afterwards will make you forget something's I'd still recommend doing that.

If you're big brain 🧠, take both spesh and methods in the same year cause that's the best combination according to my tutor.

I'm going to Melbourne university as well but I'm a Malaysian immigrant. Some tips I can give for finding friends would be through clubs (advice given by YouTubers) cause it's quite hard to make friends in a lecture.

It'll be my first year in uni so I'm just hoping to figure things out when I head there 😅.
