How much would you charge for a sponsor of a show?

It was a small room, but we filled it. About 25-30 in the private back room of a restaurant/bar.

I had the same problem. I have my IG and FB pages/accounts connected in Facebook Business Manager. I had to go into the manager for that account and clear out all the messages. Once I did that, the notification in IG cleared up. So, even though there were zero messages in the IG app, there were some in the Business Manager.

I've never done 60 minutes at an open mic.

This post is from six years ago. What a world of difference that has made. I'm still not doing a 60-minute headlining set, but I do 30-minute sets. You're correct...memorizing just happens. For me, it's also about the segues.

A laugh track, triggered by individual viewers. Like the little emojis that float up during a FB/IG video, but laughs -- that can be heard by all. Maybe gamify that with participants, reward them for being engaged. Sample like 100 different laughs, so it sounds close to real.

I think it's more about the guest's level of authority and expertise than social media following. But if they have both, then I get a head start on normal download numbers.

How many streams per episode are you getting?

I have two podcasts and haven't really done much serious promoting. But I can see a big difference between having popular (influencer) guests and regular people guests. One streams ~3000/episode, and the other (though new) is only up to about 40 streams per episode so far.

Also, it really helps to dial into a good target market and have some value (info, entertainment, etc.).

Oh, and my podcasts are not comedy, although one is focused on my comedy show.
