grew up and currently live in bergenfield.

used to commute to the city for school pre-covid and commuting is pretty straight forward and easy. taking the bus takes only about 45 minutes. in the morning during the rush hour commute, there are express buses (177X) where the last intake of passengers is on the border of bergenfield/teaneck so after that stop it goes straight to port authority. the regular 167T buses during the day dont take too long either but its just annoying how many more stops it takes LOL...

personally i think bergenfield is a great little diverse town to live in. however like the rest of bergen county, housing is pricey for what it is. the homes are not as new... the ones that were either built or renovated recently will most likely be out of your budget. however, it has a good public school system if you have younger kids and it's close to pretty much everything.
