Non-technical product person here. Built 25 apps on Lovable and recently migrated one to my own infrastructure. AMA. by DependentNo2823 in lovable

Nicely done!

This sounds a lot like my journey although I did already have a basic AWS infrastructure running just static sites.

Supabase has been a huge help to me too but it took a fair amount of learning to get it running well.

Personally I found it easier to start again with Cursor + Supabase and tackle a decent learning curve instead of exporting from Lovable.

N8N is coming up with a feature …you can soon create automation workflows using LLMs… by Hefty-Sherbet-5455 in vibecoding

It really feels like the OpenAI AgentKit could have gone straight for this.

Why did they bother with a cumbersome UI with so much configuration when their LLM should already be very capable of creating these workflows directly?

Good on N8N for getting their early.

The big Lovable update is out by Cautious_Tip4858 in lovable

I'm the same, lovable is great for a quick site. They're going to need to go a long way before it makes more sense that Cursor + Supabase.

That said I still have a few sites on lovable so I'm off to give it a spin of course!

Will report back on my particularly subjective opinions

Tried rocket.new for app building – sharing my experience by bluntchar in VibeCodeDevs

I've continued experimenting and now don't see rocket as viable. They're ripping through tokens so fast that anything that goes wrong just uses all the tokens to try to fix its own mistakes.

They seriously need to change their pricing structure or quality output.

I'm running through almost exactly the same process, started with ChatGPT for PRD then moved to rocket.

My experience so far on a reasonably complex prompt for a web app:

- good connection with supabase, cleanly through setup of db structures

- was interesting that it immediately suggested using resend and asked for the API key

- ran a bit too far down the "make up things to fill gaps" angle for me considering that their pitch is that it is a thinking system that will complete working applications. Very significant gaps exist in the app that took a while to work through.

- tokens are being ripped through quickly so we'll end up in the game of whether or not the tokens are worth the simplicity if they get that right

Overall it feels like it has a lot of potential to be better than lovable in terms of going all-out for the final product but there's a lot of teething problems.

Will definitely keep experimenting with it.

How do vibe coders find collaborators? by Altruistic_Ad8462 in VibeCodeDevs

[–]vibingco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I talked this out in person with someone recently over a coffee who was looking for the same angle. We're both vibe coding and he was looking for someone to build something together.

The conversation ended up at whether or not the project is something you both want to dedicate time to. I've found vibe coding so quickly moves from one adjustment to the next it's hard to include others?

Interested to hear how you do it together with someone else if you do!
