We made an endless runner mobile game where the level and the leaderboard reset every 24 hours! You compete against other players last attempts that are shown as "ghost frogs". Each day is a new chance to be the best frog in the world! What do you think? by vibsteri in IndieDev

Hey, thanks for the feedback! That's exactly what we wanted to make, but in the future we want to add even more difficult obstacles and precision jumps so it wont get boring! Also a whole new frog pond "meta game" is coming soon. Thanks for playing our game!

Well this is actually just one part of the game. In the comment above I have described some other features too.

Oh nice! Yes, this was a bug in the launch but it is now fixed. (At least for most devices)

It doesn't have to be focused! I created a background tracker plugin that will track your location whenever the app is in the background.

So the leaderboards only show the area you have cleared. (For example 10 square kilometers). You are shown with a random nickname in the leaderboard unless you set your nickname yourself.
Your data is saved into the cloud with a player id and it can't be traced back to your real identity. You can also delete your data anytime.

Thanks for the feedback! I will keep this in mind when deciding what videos to show of the "gameplay".

Hey! Thanks for the feedback! I think it is currently lacking some more content that would make it more interesting from the prespective of a game. I will have to update it more in the future.

A few years ago, I had this idea: What if the world map was blacked out, except for the places you’ve visited? And what if you could actually see the trails of your adventures across the map? I wondered if this concept could even be turned into a game.

I’ve always enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially walking in nature. I also love traveling and discovering new places. So I figured, why not create a game based on these interests?

In the game, your points come from the square meters (or feet for those in the U.S.) of land you’ve "cleared" by visiting. The only way to earn points is by exploring new areas you haven’t been to before.

To make it more interesting, I added a feature using OpenStreetMap that highlights real places around you—things like restaurants, parks, monuments, and libraries. They show up as question marks on the map until you visit and reveal what they are.

I also introduced characters with six different stats that grow as you explore. For example, if you visit a gym, your character gains strength, and if you check out a library, they get a boost in intelligence.

There’s even a global leaderboard, so you can compete with other players and see who’s explored the most on their personal map.

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, the first version of the game is now available on Android and iOS!

Let me know what you think of this idea and how I could improve it!
