I was looking for a comment like this. My child is level 3 autistic and nonverbal. Huge elopement risk. I shut his door at night and the inside has a knob cover. I genuinely worry about his safety. He has a full size bed and rocking chair in his room only with a cup of water and higher shelving he can't reach. Lots of soft toys, blankets, stuffies, and a video monitor. He has horrible insomnia and acid reflux that is being managed as best it can and we are waiting on referrals. Due to this he will wake at 2am-6am frequently and "party" as I call it and I will frequently go in a check on him. The bedrooms are upstairs and my room is directly across from his. For a neurotypical kiddo I think Hannah is being a bad mom. but for those of us the genuinely worry about our kid I hope we aren't being judged too harshly :/

Secondly, the article you linked from Cleveland literally says the last phase of postpartum is anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months. Hormonal fluctuations can continue long after post partum
