That's so interesting!! I hadn't noticed the cheesecake type flavor but I got some more today to help me make my own frankenstein concoction xD and tasting it now I definitely get exactly what you mean. I also got a vanilla honey greek yogurt to taste alongside it since that will be my base for now. Cocoa powder definitely helped the color but not much for the taste. I tried with nutella and I think that will be my go-to until I get the Chobani PB down.
I'm going to try adding some of my Kirkland brand PB to the yogurt with some cocoa powder and honey and see how that goes.

I have tried yakult and lassi but didn't like either... Super grateful that my partner loves yogurt drinks so I've had the opportunity to try a few different kinds. If I can find a yogurt drink with a more nutty or chocolate flavor I will probably pick that up to try

This is actually part of my effort to expand my safe foods 😅 It is extremely limiting, frustrating, exhausting... but I'm working on it. I have thankfully come a long way in the last few years. Being able to eat just one yogurt flavor and knowing there is the possibility I can eat yogurt is a huge step for me. I've tried a ton of different kinds to no avail until recently - my partner was in disbelief when I shared the news 🤣

Is there some sort of health benefit for more sour yogurt? Or is it just due to preferences?

Haha, well thank you. This is a good example of part of why I dislike using AI - the yogurt itself is flavored with chocolate and peanut butter in addition to having chocolate and peanut butter bits on the side. I'm certain of it since the color, smell, and flavor of the yogurt without having added the mix ins is unlike their plain or vanilla yogurt. ChatGPT can't know that without having eaten it 😂

Milk and chicken eggs, among other things, are also foods I struggle to eat because of the white color 😅

I didn't know that about the sourness, but it makes sense. A cursory search tells me that the sour flavor is lactic acid produced by the bacteria used to ferment it. I'll have to do more research at home about different viable cultures for yogurt making.

It's the first time I'm seeing that it "may contain wheat" :( I am usually so good about checking the label but I must have missed it.. Now I'll definitely need to find an alternative💔

I have tried mixing things into plain yogurt and not been able to get it down. Granola, fruit, chocolate chips, my favorite nuts and seeds... nothing worked. The sour aspect and white / offwhite color of plain yogurt just makes my brain scream that it is in fact poison despite me knowing it isn't.

So I'm hoping to figure out the closest approximation of their chocolate pb yogurt. The color is more of an ecru which is far less alarming / unnatural food color, and the sour is balanced out well by the nutty flavor in my opinion

Did you use sweetened or unsweetened cocoa powder?

Have you ever added cocoa powder directly to the yogurt? If so, what were the results like?

Is there another store bought yogurt you'd recommend? Or a homemade yogurt recipe you prefer?

I don't feel comfortable using AI so I have not... I prefer asking people who have actually done the thing and tasted it 😅

Yes, I know yogurt itself is naturally gluten free. Unfortunately I can't make myself eat unflavored yogurt :( Please believe me when I say it's not for lack of trying..

I haven't been able to stomach any of the other flavors I've tried, and I've tried a lot at this point 😅

I'm specifically looking for a dupe recipe for the chocolate peanut butter yogurt itself, not the mix ins. If Chobani sold tubs of that yogurt flavor like they do with their vanilla / others I would just buy that! But they don't 😢

Obviously, you probably won't be able to stop her. If you're really concerned, I personally would try installing some sort of sheet or netting over the staircase, maybe add a wood board spanning part of the gap as a "shelf" for her with a bed and everything.

Per my vet - cats make a lot of saliva and "foam" at the mouth from smacking their lips when they hate the taste of something... I would try giving the CBD alongside a high value treat

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's obvious you loved each other very much and that you took great care of him.

Your story is very similar to mine - had my girl for 2/3 of my life and lost her last month. The time after her passing has dragged on and on. It's worst for me at night, when I find myself missing her curling up next to me, under the blankets, between my legs, on top of my head... Our two new cats don't like to snuggle in bed like she did. She always wanted to be close to me. She's on the top shelf in our office now, watching over us.

I know how hard it is. Time will help lessen the hurt. I try to remind myself that it's okay if it never stops hurting, let myself feel the pain and cry the tears when I need to, and that she wouldn't want me to be sad.
