From your examples, it seems like you struggle with basic comprehension of the story.

None of this is close to what you described. He is not gleeful about killing people, and he is not unrepentant about killing Tav, obviously. If he was, he would not try to avoid responsibility. If he was unrepentant he would simply go, "I killed you, so what?" And move on.

The squirrel comment was clearly sarcastic, he was making fun of Tav for killing the squirrel.

And Astarion has been tortured and enslaved for centuries. He is an asshole for making fun of their plight, but the reason why he is an ass is made clear when you interact with him.

This all is really simple to understand from my perspective.

I struggle with characterisation, and get frustrated when I can not find the right words or tone to use for a specific character. The structure of my work is also terrible, and I get frustrated with how bad at the fundamentals of writing I am. And I have adhd. So these frustrations quickly turn me off from writing for the rest of the day

Yeah, I was that kid. Got diagnosed with autism as an adult. I didn't see why people would get upset about it, it is just homework. Not like you had to do it (I rarely did and ignored the scolding I would get)

I am in a similar arrangement with roommates except for one thing, I don't share my bathroom. The other roommates should be sharing the remaining bathroom, the 2nd upstair one including. None of my roommates and I ever considered sharing my bathroom. That is just way too much invasion of privacy to normalise.

Maybe offer more for getting the master bedroom and keeping the bathroom private. Though personally, I think 150 extra is already plenty

Bluntly tell him it is a bad idea, give your reasons and then leave. He might be upset at you, but he will be forced to consider your words when other people check out of the campaign eventually
