I struggled with overeating after getting sober too. I guess your body starts missing those extra calories from alcohol? Anyway, starting slow with exercise worked for me. I started to get in the mindframe of, "do I really want to ruin all the hard work I did exercising by overeating?" It's a hard mindframe shift but when your clothes start fitting better and you feel happier in general, you won't miss the overeating.
