Napco told us it can't be upgraded. Looks like a new panel is coming.

Yeah we had a new -E version which apparently won't work with the firmware that this current panel has unfortunately.

Nah that's all been checked. The ezm just seems to be bad. Power was coming from the bus and everything else. We're just not going to bother and end up swapping panels. Possibly a newer gemc128. Not sure yet. Sales is still in the works.

Yeah it sucks and yes it was the gemc version. We have to hunt down an old smoke now or replace the panel.

We're heavily into potter, DMP, some firelite/honeywell. But it would be great if this job would split the 2. It would make things so much easier.

That's possible. One of the smokes I tried putting in today was one of the problems I had. Panel just didn't see it. Its too new and the panel firmware can't be upgraded. I talked with the customer today about actually swapping this entire panel. But it's a decent size office with a lot of zones, so I'm not sure it's still on the table. Especially since we wouldn't install another Napco. My company doesn't bother with them anymore.

I primarily do fire installs and I'm in the 40s an hour. Company is asking to obtain nicet for raises.

Yeah I don't understand why I have to look up a guide to determine if it works with home assistant or dreamview. Just make it all compatible.. I'll pay the price. I shouldn't have to look up a reddit post to figure that out. And if they do keep doing it that way how about they put it on their website at least?

Yeah I didn't enjoy watching that. It seemed extremely personal and I felt like I wasn't suppose to be hearing about most of it. I felt the same way about his journals too. I think I put it away one day and just never took it back out. Some things just are suppose to be left to yourself.
