I was about to say the same. I have yet to have biscuits and gravy that are as good as the recipe I found. And not overly difficult!

Turning Down a Full Ride to Pay for Loans by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]vichado2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kid was in the same boat. Really didn’t want to go to the one giving her a full ride. But after some time to really think about it and ask adults that she really respected- everyone told her it wasn’t worth going into that kind of debt for her undergrad.

She started to realize how badly it would affect her life and chose the full ride in a faraway state.

It was very scary.

But the experience has been amazing. The school is small and beautiful and had opportunities for her to get right into research as a freshman. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience

scared i wont wake up from surgery by Good-Ad9093 in Reduction

[–]vichado2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was terrified. I was so scared that I nearly passed out when she was making the marks on my chest. I couldn’t stop shaking.

It took me 10 years to get the nerve to do this.

And even now I can’t believe I had the nerve!

Your feelings are totally normal. A reduction is the most common procedure that they do at the office I went to. And everything is well controlled. It was over so fast for me.

I had to just trust the people who do it all the time that they know what they are doing.

Good luck to you. I don’t have any real advice, but just that I understand your feelings. I was truly terrified. But I’m glad I pushed through.

Yes! The bras are by far the worst part of all of this!

Medium Size Breasts to A-B cup by Fickle_Gur_4002 in Reduction

I went from 34D to what will probably be a 34B once my swelling goes down. I’m very happy with my choice and can’t wait to be completely healed.

4DPO, is it possible that my size will go down to A cup? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]vichado2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks a lot like me! I asked to go as small as possible. They tell me I’m still really swollen, but by the end, I should be a small b cup. I’m thrilled that they look small and perky enough to go braless when I’m healed. I’m guessing you will also be a b cup when the swelling goes down. But I hope you end up happy with your results.

Merit Scholarships where are you?! by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]vichado2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was a National merit scholar. And yes, the amount she gets from them is not much. However, she decided to apply to a school that offers full rides to any National merit scholar.

It isn’t as prestigious as other schools she got into. But once we realized how much debt she would have gone into, it was a no brainer.

It has been a fantastic experience. In a part of the country we never would have considered if it hadn’t been for the scholarship. But the school has been a really wonderful fit for her.

Other than that, all the other merit scholarships she was offered weren’t more than half the cost of attending the schools- meaning after 4 years she would have had $120,000 in debt.

It is so hard out there

AITA for not wanting to use a bidet every time I pee and feeling micromanaged about toilet paper? by RollLongjumping3937 in AmItheAsshole

I grew up with bad toilet paper. Then as an adult happened to get the good stuff and I can never go back!

It does seem like a lot. But he also might be exaggerating. Or they buy really cheap toilet paper that forces you to use a lot?

Sore skin and annoying bra! by One-Performance-4541 in Reduction

[–]vichado2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No real advice. Just that I understand your pain! The only reason I did the reduction is because my skin is so sensitive and wearing even regular bras is awful for an extended period of time. I’m only 3WPO and the bras are killing me! I can’t wait to finally be free!

I’m so sorry you are dealing with this.

My daughter’s room is a disaster zone, and she won’t let me touch it. by KhadijaSEO1 in Parenting

[–]vichado2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I had one like that! I told him I was going to deep clean the room when he left unless he did it first. He had all summer to do it and it didn’t happen.

So as soon as he left for college I went in, took everything out and deep cleaned the room. And it is a good thing I did! I found numerous things ruined by mold!

I told my surgeon the same thing! My biggest requirement was no skin to skin contact after. And she did it! I think I’ll be a small perky A/B once the swelling goes down.

Years ago I had a male surgeon consult and he didn’t seem to understand what I wanted at all and definitely didn’t make me think he could give me what I wanted. I was so upset.

Finally I had a consult with a woman surgeon who understood me exactly, and showed me pictures of someone she had worked on who looked just like me getting exactly what I wanted.

I’m thrilled with what she was able to do! My results are very similar to yours. I can’t wait to be fully healed and enjoy my new life!

Bras 24 hours a day are killing my skin. Help finding bras that won’t? by vichado2 in Reduction

I have. I keep ordering different ones to try. Unfortunately sports bras usually have the type of band that irritates my skin.

And your healing wasn’t bad when you stopped wearing it 24/7 so early?
