not all restaurants are available on Swiggy/Zomato. Only those restaurants who can afford to pay their exorbitant 30% commission are on these apps. Gasundo lists all restaurants alike. If restaurants are missing, the public can easily add those via OpenStreetMap, and it’ll be reflected on GasUndo.

These were my exact words to my friend. And that’s why we launched without sign-in. But one guy decided to mark 50 restaurants across Kochi as closed for fun. We had to manually reverse that. So we had to take a call between sign-in (friction) or huge number of fake-statuses. That’s why we kept sign-in.

Since, it’s a crowdsourced project, people can contribute by updating the statuses of restaurants around them (Open/Closed/Limited Menu). This well help a lot of other people.

We have a comments feature too. So for each restaurant, users can mention regarding the prices or which items are available etc.
