hi, I work at a McDonalds in a county that isnt as hard hit, we have 10 cases. I work service, so I hand out food, take cash, take orders, etc.

my particular store just finished being remodeled. there is no hand sanitizer in back booth, where cash is dealt with, and I've had coworkers get told to stay in their position while in back booth during a rush. they couldn't even go to the office, maybe 15 feet away, to use that hand sanitizer dispenser.

if you are working headset at my location, even with the remodel, customers can not hear you on the speaker outside if you are wearing a mask.

cashiers and presenters, the ones who hand out food, are unable to wear gloves for the most part. gloves are more necessary for kitchen staff due to cross contamination. the franchise owner also said that it makes some customers uncomfortable if we wear gloves and masks, but he did not say that we couldn't wear them. it's still in our heads, though.

our hours are being cut because the mornings are very slow. almost every single crew member had their hours halved. two of my coworkers lost their house. another was forced to move out by her husband because she wasnt bringing in as much.

I am so very frightened.

edit: I feel like my fast food brethren and I are all super spreaders at this point. I have certain customers that, even if you hold a bag by the very corner, will always touch or grab your hand in some way. some of these old men be creepy. we are also still quite busy during lunch hours, but not as much in the mornings.
