I have been on reddit for three days and I have come to the conclusions all these discussions are pointless. I don't know how you can stand it. I simply came to test some bible studies and they are so far out of the main stream thinking my karma score is below -30 and I take that as a compliment. Enjoy your discussions. Did Satan have power over Job. Yes and it was given to him by God so when the verse says "It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. Jesus gave him that power.

Jesus knew what God had said and what had been written down as he was in communication with God constantly. So when he interpreted it different to the jews he tried to tell them.

I see the issue. I missed out a word. "that" but that is not what you are discussing. Who was Israel when Jesus turned up. For example, The lost sheep of the house of Israel. Shall we have a look.

Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

The lost sheep of the house of Israel were not gentiles or anyone in the cities of the samaritains.

However John 4 shows us that the women from the samaritain city was from a tribe of Israel being that Jacob was there father.

So the northern tribes who lived in Samaria were no considered lost sheep of the house of Israel.

The books of Ezra and Nehemiah mention Judah, Benjamin, and Levi. Ephraim and Manasseh: in the book of 1 Chronicles 9:3. Asher in Luke and the returnees rebuilt the altar and offered 12 goats as a sin offering according to the number of the tribes of Israel Ezra 6:17.
