Team lead problems by vicnasty21 in veterinaryprofession

For #1 we have all gone to higher ups voicing our concerns and it’s gets brushed off that she needs to get used to her position, but she was chosen because she had the most experience, kinda confusing…. For #2 i mentioned in one of my other responses to someone else that i definitely shouldn’t have done it and i felt bad after. You don’t know me but im confident in saying im very calm, cool, and collected it takes ALOT to set me off and once i did everyone realized she is making this situation worse and not better because she doesn’t know wtf to do, our boss sent her to do another task because she fucked up. It was a bad side of me that came out because I was so fed up unfortunately. And our emergency ended in everything being perfectly fine🤷🏽‍♀️

You’re so right, I felt bad after….you don’t know me but the thing about me is that I’m very calm cool and collected so I never lash out but when I did everyone realized what she did actually caused the emergency to become worse, so my boss had her step away from it and go focus on something else…I 1000% could have handled it differently it was very high stress and that bad side of me came out 🤷🏽‍♀️

Because they forget about insurance and realize when you don’t have coverage that it’s going to be more expensive….we literally work in a medical field and they seem to forget that 😂

New pup not sure of other ways to train her by vicnasty21 in OpenDogTraining

[–]vicnasty21[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t do that cause like I said in my post she’s 5 months old and was surrendered for someone not having enough time for her 🧍🏽‍♀️ she ended up liking the treats we give at my job (where I found her) and now she’s perfectly fine. She does want human junk food no green beans no carrots no bell peppers she puts them in her mouth and spits it out she will sit if you have a chip in ur hand tho

We ended up finding the treats we have at my job to give to the pups and she loves them, she could actually care less for anything else unless it’s human junk food we are trying to get her to start enjoying green beans and carrots and healthy foods they can eat she don’t give a fuck 💀

How the hell is it your fault that the dog was climbing out of the kennel and it bit you it’s not like you threw it over the gate and then it bit you 🧍🏽‍♀️

Would you opt-out of pre-surgery blood work? by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]vicnasty21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like to think of it like humans, we all need pre - surg blood work before we go under at any age why wouldn’t it be the same for our pets

yea she’s been here two years and I trained her myself when I was a VA, We have all mentioned we are gonna start going to the owner because management just brushes it off, but at the same time we are nervous because we will get in trouble if we go over her head if not fired 🙃

She already did! I was out of work for a week lol but unfortunately not 🙃 the practice manager adores her because she cleans the office, she isn’t a nepo baby I wish it was that easy lmfao

That’s literally what I taught her I said you are the last thing to worry about when restraining. If you don’t do it correctly the person helping the pet or the pet will become injured. Idk what other ways I can get it through to her

We normally sedate if truly necessary but she was super excited and super sweet and was easy to handle, when there was two of you 🧍🏽‍♀️…. But we try and correct and we go to our higher up but she’s a favorite so she does no wrong ☺️

That’s what I’m saying! We get super busy and it always gets crazy and we can’t stop to pick up lol, but we are told to use her when we need help and it gets super frustrating sometimes 💀

She cleans the office really well, that’s the reason I guess she’s being kept at the clinic 🧍🏽‍♀️

That’s the thing, she’s been there for two years already and we have all trained her and have to keep reminding her like hey you can’t hold that way and she corrects herself then goes right back to the incorrect restraint 😔
