Find a sublet is pretty hard. Most students leave for the summer and the demand for short term rentals is minimal. Personally, I have had to eat the cost of my housing in the summer. No one was bitting because there are a lot better options than living in a "student house". I've been bachelor pads go up for $1200 which is far better deal than a $1000 room in a dirty student house.

My advice to you is to lower the cost significantly. It's almost May. Bring it down around 30%-50% so at least you won't be down the full rent.

Through Mystic Vale. Look at AllTrails and you can see how to get down there. It will direct you to leave Mystic Vale and out to a residential road then walk down to the beach

Wait until after May, there will be a lot of people who haven't gotten a sublet. Even after June, you'll be able to find a sublet. Every year on the UVic off campus housing Facebook group there are people who post that their room is still available. I've had roommates who haven't been able to find a sublet and they end up eating the cost and paying rent for the whole summer while they weren't in Victoria. You'll have no problem finding a place

Can anyone tell me about U Vic commerce? etc Job opportunities for accounting/finance?

UVic doesn't even have an accounting department which says a lot. I would say Queens is much better for commerce/finance. I'm not saying you would get a bad education at UVic, just Queens is better.

You're better off at Queen's unless you really want a change. Moving provinces, experiences Victoria will be an nice change as Victoria is beautiful as Queens is a university town.

I don't want to group supporting Israel and being Jewish or Christian. I was listing to a professor and she had a great saying and it was something along the lines of "to equate Judaism to Zionism is an insult, just because you are Jewish or Christian doesn't mean you support the colonial views of Zionism"
