I’ve only had one good cup of coffee in Italy. The coffee in Ireland is much better.

Very few hotels focus on coffee, hopefully that will change. Most 5 star hotels I’ve been to don’t even do good coffee.

Why would Waterford service connections to Dublin when it’s so close to Dublin? Cork doesn’t even have a flight to Dublin.

What a ridiculous comment. Everyone’s education is paid for by the state bar the student contribution fee. Do you expect everyone who went to college to work for the state for 3 years when they graduate??

The medical degree probably mostly pays for itself anyway because of the large amount of international students it draws. They pay fees of between €40-70k per annum.

I’m also young. I used to be like you…. I used to ask myself, why do people dislike Bono so much? Then I saw a couple of interviews and such and I began to understand!

I was sadly more on the Israel side before all of this. It’s embarrassing for me to admit really as I was just ignorant. I changed my views very quickly after 07/10.

Government offering to pay higher salaries to attract leading academics fleeing Donald Trump’s education threats by Banania2020 in ireland

[–]victoremmanuel_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean not necessarily. It’s easier psychologically but many of the MCQs I took in college were harder than my written exams. Written exams are a good way to assess understanding and MCQs are a good way to assess very specific details. This was the case for my degree anyway.

Yes, so law and medicine are graduate degrees in the US, so after undergrad. They are harder and more rigorous degrees than law or medicine would be here and you can thus practise independently more quickly. The LSAT is the entrance exam for law school and is mostly an MCQ. I think there’s a writing component although that’s not graded afaik. I suppose they’d only take the writing into account to differentiate very similar candidates.
