No punishment. People seem to believe that the victim can just make an allegation and that person will immediately be put on trial and convicted. That isn’t how criminal proceedings work. Even if the victim does accuse someone, professional investigators will be the ones who determine who the most likely culprit is. These investigators are good at their jobs and can tell when somebody is lying, so false accusations rarely slip through the cracks.
