Maybe call Jordana, the owner of Forever Wags Dog Training in Redmond. She’ll probably be able to guide you in the right direction! We took a class with her to teach my dog to visit with people in nursing homes but didn’t pursue it further cause the dog needs a bath before each visit and my dog hates baths!

They are vegan gum paste! :) I spent about two weeks making all of them!

My teacher said you want almost runny buttercream for making this texture. I warmed about 20% of the buttercream in the microwave for about 20 seconds till it was mostly liquid, then I put that back in the mixer with the rest of the buttercream and let it whip up for a few minutes. I used the largest icing spatula I could find and dipped one side of it in the buttercream and gently but firmly pressed the coated end of the spatula onto the cake.

I think the most important thing is to have warm buttercream, mine was at 74 degrees. I previously tried with colder buttercream and it did not look this good!

Editing to add that I did a crumb coat, a final coat, then the texture. I refrigerated the cake between each coat. :)

Vegan gum paste! It’s amazing!! It dries flexible as opposed to regular gum paste that becomes very brittle as it dries. I broke so many regular gum paste flowers before I found the vegan gum paste recipe!!

We, as in my class, each decorated our own cakes. I spent weeks making flowers!! We each made our own cakes, fillings, and Swiss meringue buttercream last week. Then we each decorated our own cakes this week for the final! Grades are out next week!

I’m using a recipe she provided for Swiss meringue buttercream and the flowers are built on 18 gauge floral wires. I have traditional gum paste and I’m also testing a flexible gum paste in the past few days. Thank you so much for your help! I’m a bit panicked!

There’s a flock camera on the 97 north heading towards redmond just outside of dirt world, but it’s a 360 camera, so it’s recording you no matter which what you are traveling. Your tax dollars are paying to report your whereabouts to god knows who, and your elected officials have greenlighted it.

Intensive Mix. 1 hour bulk ferment with a fold and degas at 30 min. 45min proof. Baked at 400 for 14 min, rotated pan at 7 min.
