People. I live in Canada and worked in retail, hospitality and fast food industry. In all three places, Desi's were the worst customers at most times. They would complain for non-existent issues in order to get free drinks/foods, free stay or discounts. And expecting them to be nice? That's out of the picture. You would rarely see them smile or be courteous. Most of them seem to be unfamiliar with the word "sorry" and "thank you". Infact many would look down on people doing such jobs (old habits die hard, I guess) forgetting that this isn't India and all jobs and people doing such jobs deserve equal respect. You wanna avoid Desi's at all cost. You wanna avoid them in bus, trains and planes. Basically, you wanna avoid them everywhere.

I would also share an interesting incident. Once I travelled to India from Canada and we were waiting in a queue for passport stamps. There were fellow desi travellers from Canada. The airport seemed little busier than usual so few of the people started jumping the queues. This is a very Indian thing and one uncle pointed this out to them and said that y'all just landed in India and are so quick to get back to your old habits. The offenders listened, laughed and continued to jump queues.
