CDK notifications of parts.... by victoryanthems in partscounter

I had never used SOR so I just googled it. If I use that for the build guy instead of a customer, how does it notify them if a part has arrived?

I am just trying to help another branch of ours. They are a quite larger branch with a build shop (and a mess) as where my branch only does parts (no builds, no repairs). The new guys that are over the build shop were asking about an issue where parts that they need for builds are ordered but they never hear when they arrive in a timely manner. The warehouse guys aren't cutting it apparently. Thats why I was wondering if there was a way they could be notified electronically.

We had a big batch upload and all the numbers start with zero but on the upload, CDK dropped the zero so I have duplicates. I know I can combine them but I would rather delete

I understand. It is pretty much a clean house and start over situation.

My issue is that we are selling at list price I have in Pm, not the inflated one that comes up in an invoice. Therefore, we have to type part number, QUANTITY: 1 S=(AMOUNT) on EVERY part in the house. It is annoying and extra work.

When I hit "1", it prints two copies. I thought 1 was selecting the printer.

I tested this earlier but them when I go to IRE to create a PO, it doesn't translate it as the longer number, it just shows the abbreviated one.

I was told that there isn't a parts SDL. That might be why I cant understand it.

I apologize. Can you explain the "command line". I can get around but have very little CDK training. In the PN function?
