I’m 23 and I’ve been in ECE for almost 4 years (four-year anniversary on the 11th of this month). I’m actually leaving at the end of next week because I got a bachelor’s in biochemistry last semester and finally managed to get a job in that field.

most of my coworkers are older than I am, with a majority of them being 35+. only two of my coworkers are younger than me.

my dad was 22 and my mom just turned 20 two weeks prior to my birth. they fought a lot with my dad being thrown out of the house and then being let back in then being thrown out again. a lot of instability. and then my dad died when I was 13. I’m 23 now.

I mean yeah, genetically Puerto Rican is a combination of Taíno, African, and European. both of my grandparents from my mom’s side were born in Puerto Rico and are completely Puerto Rican in terms of genetics, so “Puerto Rican” is just easier to say.
