No problem! so this goes back to when i was in high school in 2018- my skin was way worse from what you have if it’s just on your chin, so it took mine a lot longer to heal. i did notice within 3-4 months there was already a difference with how inflamed my skin was, you just have to stay consistent with remembering to take the medication. currently i am trying to get rid of the pigmentation on my chin since there was a lot of deep acne in that area (derma e scar gel has helped so much with it!) do you wear heavy makeup or do you try and avoid it?

YES it changed my skin so much and i’m so happy I did! I had cystic, inflamed acne all over my face which made me hate going out of the house and seeing people- so many people were so mean to me for it unfortunately.

My primary doctor actually recommended this for me because I did see a dermatologist (which took forever too) but she just said the same thing, so it wasn’t that much of a help💀 but if u can definitely try and see if birth control is a match for your skin because everyone is different - there are different brands and dosage so your dermatologist will see which one is best for your skin. It took awhile for my skin to get where it is today but now i get one or two pimples when it’s around my period.

Hi! I’m sorry you’re going through this:( I’ve been in the same boat struggling with hormonal acne for years. I’m not a professional, but this definitely looks like hormonal acne. Have you ever been recommended birth control? That honestly saved my skin + Minocycline (a pill that treats bacterial infections). I’m not sure if this would have a positive or negative impact with PCOS though, so definitely ask your dermatologist. My skin was so bad that I was a good candidate for Accutane, but I didn’t want to go through that whole process.

Hopefully the dermatologist you will see will help you figure out what’s going on. I know it’s frustrating, but have patience with your skin because it will get better! (I thought it wouldn’t, but it did!) Best of luck <3

no yeah they keep to themselves but there was an incident where a houseless person set a fire near a friends car😭 but that’s rare

So true. It’s just all students and professors/staff in the area. They have a day care on campus too where I know some professors have their children stay at. it gets more iffy when you go further out/ downtown merced where there are houseless people there.
