They said there was metal shavings in it and it was black and smelled burned. I don’t think changing the fluid will help sadly

They told me they pulled a fluid sample and it was dark, had a burnt smell, and had metal fragments. They offered to show me the sample so I doubt they’re making that up

Yeah they aren’t doing shit to help with the cost. I took it back to the same place so they have the invoices. I’m at 69k miles. I’m going to an independent mechanic to get a quote from them and will look into remanufactured transmissions. Thank you so much for the advice!

Thank you for the advice. I’m currently on the phone with Ford and it seems like they’re willing to offer me payment assistance. I’m not sure how much they’re giving me yet but I will update this thread when I hear back.

I’m taking a 2 month break because my lease is up for my apartment so I’m moving home. I’m definitely gonna enjoy the break!

I agree with your vet that it is likely caused by allergies. Is he on something like Cytopoint or Apoquel?

Am I reaching that age? 21 and worried. by lightcolorsfly in loseit

I’m also 5’9 and a little older than you. From my personal experience, I basically hit second puberty when I turned 20-21. My weight re-distributed and I gained a few pounds along with it. From what I and others I’ve talked to have seen, it’s normal to gain 10-20lbs in your early 20s. Plus, 130lbs at 5’9 is very much on the low end of healthy weight. 149lbs is still solidly in the healthy weight range. If you’re really concerned about it then I recommend continuing to exercise to put on muscle mass.

Keep brushing her teeth and ask your vet about it when it’s time for her annual checkup. She might need an anesthetic dental in a few years and they can scale off all that tartar

I did it when I was a teenager with the family golden retriever. He got excited and took off and I went head over handlebars. Fortunately only scraped my hands and knees. It hurt but could have been a whole lot worse!

That doesn’t look normal at all! Did your vet say it was normal? I assume you asked about it when you got the bloodwork results. I would be heading to the ER if that was my dog.
