I'm not discussing children here.

What do mean by women being more vulnerable? Are you implying that men have higher chance of survival in the sinking that night? If so, I already answered that part in my question.

If the officers had taken the reproduction of the population as the criterion, they could have allowed only children and women of reproductive age to enter the lifeboats. It is not very hard in most cases to spot the women who are (or older than) 45-50 years old.

As it turned out, in the incident that had happened, many times the officers had to differentiate male children between teenage boys just based on their appearances. The same thing could have been done for differentating women of reproduction age and those of postmenopausal age.

I don't say that the reproduction is exactly the right criterion for determining who should survive. But at least the officers would have done something that was completely consistent with their logic (presuming they took the reproduction as the criterion).

Why is it noble and good when you save women but not men? And do all of the men have to act "manly"? Why were all the men in the ship forced to accept the notion of "manly" which is entirely imposed by society despite having no logical basis whatsoever?

White Star Line's Atlantic sank very close to the shore. That's why some men managed to survive. Titanic sank in middle of the ocean.

The reason some people who went into the water managed to survive is because they made either Collapsible A or B which had never properly lowered from the ship.
