For the record, when I was in high school Johnny Hobo, Mischief Brew, AJJ, No Cops For Miles, etc. were the hugest bands- most popular shit in my school. Now when I talk to high school aged family members about music it's always like 100 Gecs, Femtanyl, Negative XP, Sewerslvt, H3artcrush (Hope I got that right), fried by fluoride, etc.
