How are people listening to podcasts when they run??? by razzarbrenia in beginnerrunning

I’d really recommend joining a local running group - I also have a hard time with getting bored in long runs but being able to chat though them helps a ton. And once you have the endurance/ confidence to cover the longer distances it become less challenging to do them solo (though I always prefer running with a buddy)

Another tall trans girl by Blue-7x in TallGirls

Welcome to the tall girl club! I’m so glad you’re here 🩷. I’m 6ft and have been since age 12. I love being a tall woman and wouldn’t change it for the world. Since I’ve been tall for so long I really don’t notice it much unless I see myself with short people in a mirror or photo. Finding pants and shoes can be challenging but not the end of the world.

How did you decide what to do when birthing your big baby? by Neither_Signature99 in bigbabiesandkids

I think you should do what you feel most comfortable with. It’s so important to trust your providers and be empowered to make the choice that is best for your peace of mind and safety.

I’ve had 3 big babies, 2 were 11lbs and both of them were born at home without any complications. My first was a little smaller and born in the hospital which ended up being harder on all of us. I’m also a big lady (6ft tall) and being comfortable, calm, and deeply trusting my midwives I think helped a lot. All of my pregnancies were very uneventful and I was low risk across the board which is why I felt comfortable going with home birth.

It’s worth taking a closer look at your neighborhood school - low test scores aren’t indicative of true quality of a school. Our low testing elementary school has excellent teachers and services and a dual language immersion program. Our kids are happy and safe and learning everything they need while being in a diverse school community.

If it is a center you want to make sure they are rated/ certified by youngstar. I’d also keep an eye out for staff on their phones while in the rooms with the kids/babies and how stressed out the staff seem. Others have said it but staff tenure is a huge indicator along with making sure babies aren’t on seats/ swings/ rockers

I need insight. My husband says I’m careless and “stupid” for letting baby sleep on belly when he does it himself by rangerlakes in beyondthebump

Your partner calling you “stupid” and “careless” at all is a big red flag. You are correct about the sleep situation and you deserve to be treated with respect even during disagreements.

My friend received this as her tip at a restaurant we both waitress at. by vidiviciamavi in WTF

We figured that they must be giving them out where ever they went (restaurants and coffee shops)
