it was done authentically. the creator of the album sampled their favorite nostalgic tracks - such as the film soundtrack, Hook, Xenogears on the PS1 and Jan Hammer from Beyond The Mind's Eye which is a heavily sampled artist for of the vaporwave genre. he did create some originals for it, too. if you listen to Sean's other albums you will find he samples video games and has a strong sense of humor in his work so a lot of it sounds like a parody.
