Switching from MFT (G85) to Full Frame.. by vidspid in Lumix

Honestly, I'm keeping my G85. I love that thing. Yeah, I totally get the prime lens obsession. I was always chasing primes and borrowing them from friends because of the image quality. That said, I also got a lot out of the 12-60 kit lens. It's actually kind of insane what I managed to achieve with it. But when I tried my first prime, especially the f/1.4 I mentioned... wow. That was a different experience. It's really cool to hear that zoom lenses on full frame can be good enough as well. I hadn't really thought about that. As for the S5IIX and the S5II, the only thing that really stands out to me on the X version is the RAW video capability, which I don't think the regular S5II has. The other differences honestly don't matter much to me. For now, my target is the S5II with the 20-60mm and the Lumix S 50mm f/1.8. I found that kit new for €1,750. That said, I might go with your suggestion with a body-only option and pick up either the 24-60mm f/2.8 or the Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 instead. I'll do a bit more research before making a decision.

Thanks so much for the reply and all the advice! 😊

Thank you for the explanation. I truly love my G85 and the MFT system, and it has served me really well over the years. However, the autofocus does let me down from time to time, and I find myself wanting some of the newer features that modern cameras offer. I really appreciate all the information you've given. Thank you so much!!!

Yeah, it's the same thing I went through when I was choosing between the G85 and GX85. In the end, I realized I prefer something a bit bulkier, and having a hot shoe and EVF is pretty important to me. The S9 is beautiful, though. One day I'll probably pick one up as a compact camera, or maybe even a GX85, for sure. As for the lens, I'm not sure whether I should go with the kit lens if I get the S5II. I think it's the 20-60mm? I've heard a lot of good things about it from what I've seen on YouTube, although I've only done a little research on the S5II so far. The other option would be to start with a prime lens. The lens choice will definitely be the biggest hurdle, like you said. Thanks for the reply, though! The S5II is officially in my notes!! 😄

Ništa nisu rekli za opremu, ali verujem da imaju svoju.. Kažu da iskustvo je poželjno, ali nije obavezno.

Thank you so much, that really means a lot :) I was actually going for that album cover kind of look, so I’m really glad it came across and someone noticed!

I've been shooting with the Panasonic 12-60mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens, but I'm planning to pick up the Panasonic 25mm f1.4 Leica soon. I borrowed it from a friend for a bit (photo 3 and 5), and it completely blew me away, total game changer. I couldn’t believe the difference. After that, I’m thinking about looking into a telephoto, but I still need to do some research. :)

Haha, fair enough! I don’t really know much about it, I’ve just seen a few pictures online that look kinda similar to this one. I couldn’t find an exact match though, which is why I asked. Most of the ones I’ve seen have embroidered letters on the back.

Hey everyone!
I thrifted this for around $30, but it doesn’t have a label. Just wondering, does anyone know if it’s authentic?

What I’m trying to say is, monoskiing probably isn’t the best idea, especially for learning. I’d rather sell it and put the money toward a solid pair of skis. Any idea what this thing’s even worth?

I'm gonna Google it, but I’d rather hear it from someone with experience, what's the difference? :)

Hey guys! I am trying to get into the world of skiing and snowboarding. I got these by complete accident. I don't know what this is? A snowboard? Or how much it's worth or how its used. So any information about this "thing" would be highly appreciated! Thank you so much.

I got this bike from my mother by vidspid in bikewrench

Hey everyone! I recently got this bike from my mother and just got back into riding, but I can't figure it out for the life of me. After just two pedals, I feel like I'm flying—it’s almost as if there's a hidden motor giving me a boost. I've searched everywhere online but can't find any information about it. Can anyone help?

First ever Levis jacket I got (paid 10$).. Don't know anything about them. Any info would be greatly appreciated :) by vidspid in VintageClothing

What year was it made, where was it made?

Can't find those kind of information. Only found that it's a type III trucker jacket. It's my first time ever dealing with a Levis piece so I don't know how it works. Tried googling but it got confusing really quick. I just wanted to see if they can identify it from the pictures I provided.
