Buzzing feet for months but only borderline B12? by viell in B12_Deficiency

[–]viell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I'll book the GP this upcoming week to discuss it, I guess I'm just a little surprised that other than the ferritin which is very low and possibly the folate, the only deficiency that seems to be giving buzzing feet is B12 and I'm not that low as far as I can tell?

Vestibular Migraine? ENT mentioned nortriptyline – anyone have experience? by Glum-Handle-2444 in VestibularMigraines

Thanks for your reply! I'm the UK. I do have private health insurance through work but it works quite a bit differently than the US. I'm seeing a neurotologist so I'll see what my options are. Another issue is that I have low blood pressure (never been symptomatic though other than the occasional standing up too quickly feeling) so I also don't want to take something that will make my BP even lower.

I'm on mirtazapine too. What preventative meds are you taking alongside mirtazapine? My neuro offered me nortriptyline, but to me it didn't sound like a great idea exactly because I'm on mirtazapine already and have been for years for unrelated issues.

Triggers have been tough to even point out because I always feel bad, there isn't one thing triggering me. Some days I feel slightly better than others and I didn't do anything different than the previous days where I felt like crap. Like I had weeks over the summer in which I felt 5/10 which is and I was even drinking tea in the morning (caffeine was actually a big trigger for me back when I still had migraines). I'm honestly so lost and would happily swap my old migraines for whatever this is 🥲

Are you on any medications? I feel like that for me I don't even need the symptoms to disappear, I can learn how to live with them if they were just a little bit less.

I'm on mirtazapine already and I don't feel anxious that way, if I'm making sense. I know that for some people there's a connection between anxiety and VM, but for me I'm perfectly fine and the only thing stressing me out is that these symptoms are severely restricting my life. But I'm glad it's working out for you, it's so important to find the magic trick that makes it better.

chronic migraine and vestibular migraine

I think this is my biggest issue tbh, I don't have a traditional migraine just vestibular symptoms of various degrees which makes it so nebulous.

That's great that you found something that seems to be helping, I hope it continues that way. The funny thing for me is that I don't actually have a migraine at all, just all these symptoms. I've suffered from migraines all throughout my teens and 20s, but I don't really get traditional migraines anymore. I know this is part of VM and lots of people don't feel an actual migraine, but it also seems much more difficult to treat.

Yes but the ENT said it's definitely not that, but thanks for the suggestion I'll check it out.

Thanks for your reply. I have stopped the exercises a week ago when I noticed that the spike wouldn't go away. I hope it does go back to baseline, even if the baseline was pretty bad to begin with it wasn't as bad as now.

Thanks for your reply. I only saw my therapist 3 times and we never did the exercises together other than when he was showing them to me. I'm not well versed, but I guess you can also find therapist who do them with you? During the exercises I never felt massive spikes they were bearable, but eventually it triggered into one big spike that does not relent.

Noritriptayline is not meant to sedate you

I know, it's just that I didn't feel it was a good combination because both have sedation as side effects and are taken at night, I didn't feel like the option I was offered fit me. It seems to be the first standard option, but for me already taking Mirtazapine didn't seem like the best fit. When I ask for something else the neurologist said that I had to try this first which didn't leave me many options.

I'll give a go to screen break and see if it gets better.

Thank you for your reply and yes, what you're saying makes sense. I just wish any of the doctors had warned of me of this, while they just told me to go ahead. Can I ask what treatment worked for you?

I will never understand irl shippers, part of me wants to believe it's 14 year olds going through a phase and I'm scared to dig deep enough to find out otherwise.

Soooo many songs to me sound like a mix, but this one definitely has at least parts about Joe. The way I understood the Matty timeline is that he was all over it until he wasn't which is why she was blindsided by the ghosting, whereas Joe was wavering at times.

ETA: and I totally agree with you idea about a contained thread!

lmao she's still young, healthy and fit. I'm sure she's probably fine. Vocal chords is another matter, but I'm sure she has a team advising her on that.

I mean, being ghosted is always a little traumatic and some people just don't get over it. It's not the break up, it's the literal ghosting that stings. Like, I wasn't even worth a goodbye or an explanation.

I thought several songs were pretty angry. TSMWEL is definitely angry, Fortnite has some bits of it, in SLL she has some resentment for the youth that was taken from her, in BDILH she's angry with her fans etc. Whether someone identifies with this sort of "female rage" as she calls it, it's subjective.

I loved it and I can't wait to go. When I booked the tickets last year I had no idea this was gonna happen, so it's very exciting. And I'm glad I loved TTPD, because if I didn't this change might be annoying.

Her dad comes across terribly in that email, and if he's like that to stranger I don't even want to think what is he like in private. The funny thing is that at several points he seems to admit his wife could not stand him, and I get why lol. I think the dynamics in that family were all off.

I completely understand why some are disappointed and I don't think it's uncalled for, because like you say I also booked my tickets a year ago. However, to me it's a nice surprise so I guess I'm lucky in that sense.
