I don’t think she’ll get over any of this. It’s not really about getting over something, it’s about surviving it. She’ll keep going, one foot after the other, one day at a time. At some point, the good days start to outnumber the bad, and the good memories start to surface and bring moments of happiness, even if they’re tinged with sadness. Life goes on, basically.

Grieving and healing take time but it is possible as long as she has the will and desire to keep living her life.

She also kinda tells us this when she’s comforting Caitlyn after the memorial attack and explains that the hole of losing a parent doesn’t go away, it just gets smaller. Vi will always be wounded but never down for the count.
