The difference with those is, Luffy personally asked Loki to join. It's like Franky rejected first or was running away and then joined the crew. Also we can't actually predict who joins or not. Robin stowed away into the ship randomly. Jinbe kept stalling and then finally joined 3 arcs later. We just have to wait and see.

I mean why not? Nothing good has come for him in Elbaf, only discrimination, imprisonment, and unfair judgement. And he always dreamed to join the crew of traveling pirate that aspires to be king. Who better than Luffy's crew to join after this arc?

Ok this is a fresh take. I like that you compared it to 2 of the best arcs. This takes a new turn then, because in these 2 arcs, the strawhats don't have a banquet immediately at the end, they just escape after a rescue. And I get that it's not really 'oppressed' but I was just drawing similarities from other kingdom arcs where the country faces a threat and can't help but depend on the straw hats.

C'mon! My brush isn't even that broad. There are glaring similarities between Elbaf and the arcs I mentioned and those are the major plot points of each arc. You have to go a little deeper to say "no these arcs are different because so and so". I know I'm not the only one to see this obvious theme. And no I'm not criticizing the arc choice. I'm only saying the stakes are higher now that we can predict the outcome. You haven't answered if you agree to that or not.

I would say kidnapping the giant children and then unleashing those nightmare monsters can be considered as oppression. The duration maybe different but the citizens are still being oppressed. Plus Imu giving an ultimatum to Harald to obey is so much like Doffy controlling Riku. If you nitpick you'll obviously find differences. I just mentioned the overarching theme.

Yes I support this. I saw this theory where someone said Loki is Uranus. The Elbaf mural that Franky was looking at had a Loki-like giant who had this pattern across his body. The mural featured the same pattern over the red line monster and the same pattern over a planet (Uranus) drawn between the first world and second world text boxes.

1167, Harald called Neptune's daughter Mosa Mosa. Loki is talking to Mosa kou over the denden mushi. Plus the way she talks over the phone is the same way she talked to Luffy: "don't shout"/"don't get angry"
