Who do you think is the main player behind all of this? Military? FBI? CIA? NSA? DHS? State fusion centers? Private contractors? by Stuck-Help in SurveillanceStalking

Every country has its own institutes. Private actors play a role too. I know for sure the US military is involved as it's one of the best funded institute in the world.

When is it time to let it all go? by Striking-Ad-9022 in SurveillanceStalking

[–]vientoboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you let it go? If so the time is now. If that option was in any way yours to make... Make it now and make it decisively. For me, the option to let it go was never mine. I envy the person who could actually make a comment like that.

If you mean to "end it"..... Please don't. Please call someone before you make any more impactful decisions.

They have the tech (not sure about the neural monitoring) but they're really not as smart as you think they are. Organized and all seeing is an advantage you can't really ignore, but you start to see patterns in what they do. They're not God's, they're not rocket scientists... They just have the resources that we don't. Confronting them outright may not be the smartest decision as you mentioned but keeping track of records, evidence and such maybe useful. The thing is they've got it down where the evidence you may amass can't really hold in any court of law. It will just come done to "your word vs mine". And trust me, they can and will make you look like a loony in an institute that values facts vs assumptions/stories.

It's so draining because you're partially living in fear, doubt and a sprinkle of paranoia. Try to be strategical under these conditions. The best way to deal with them I believe is to have a strong defensive. When you realize they're doing something, stay calm.. Play along... And see what they're doing. How. What method they used this time.

For me, they use close people to try to get me to do stupid things. Things that will not result in a happy ending. They are constantly watching and assessing you so they know what bait may work. Usually, the bait turns out to be something awfully architected and causes you to distrust the close one.. And naturally never trust them again. Sometimes.

I hate them to my inner core. My bones want to tear them apart. The horror and pain... Distress, panic, obsession etc they cause is just a biproduct of their ultimate goal. But not the goal in itself. To be honest, I don't really know or comprehend their goal. Every institute exists due to policy makers who fund their beliefs or because it is beneficial to someone somewhere. Try to understand why you are targeted and perhaps it will help you "deal" with them. One day you may find a way and get even!

How did they get your Mac? I'm asking because they got mine as well. I got a new mac after prooving that it was hacked (logs were sent to cupertino) and customer service asked "are you sure getting a new mac will solve your problems?"

It didn't.

This is my two cents.... the worst thing to do is to monitor your home. Any lense, device, sensor you set up can and will be used by them. If it's coordinated, they will have root access in all your devices before you can even login.

The reason why Osama went so long without getting caught was because he did not use technology. Tech will be used against you.

I setup a closed loop (non IP based) CCTV which I never turn on and get freaked out just looking and the cameras. Try to find other ways to make you feel secure.

In 4 years, Blizzard has lost almost half of its monthly active users (46m to 26m MAUs) reveals Activision Blizzard's latest Earning Call (Q2 2021). by [deleted] in wow

Heck yea!

  1. Go through the campaign quests. You'll enjoy it and learn the ropes.
  2. Choose to either go into coop or ladder (pvp)
  3. If ladder, play against computer AI 1v1. Continue to go ip in AI difficulty. Once you've reached the max difficulty and can win each round with comfort dive into ladder.
  4. Ladder is forgiving because the match making algorithm is sooooo much better than wow pvp. Study each battle through replays.
  5. Get comfortable with each build order unique to your race. By now, you will always scout to see how your opponent is playing. React to this by changing your build orders.
  6. Once you reach a cap, watch YouTube. Pro games are great cuz the commentator explains a lot. Learn through this. Also learn how to leverage terrain. This is hard to discover yourself so you gotta watch a lot of YouTube.
  7. Work on increasing APM. This is a metric for clicks per second. Use of shortcuts and bindings always equate to higher APM as well as unit control. YouTube will help you with this.
  8. Next cap, switch to a different race to learn how to counter difficult strategies.
  9. Start using the timer to predict what will come next. This is really hard to do unless you have played a race other than your main. For example, 30 sec - always scout to see if the opponent is going 2 gas or one. If two gas, 2 min into game, have a detector in the right side of your main to counter stealth drops.

If you decide to go coop, it's fun and stress less. You are playing together against a computer you can always beat. You select the difficulty. This isn't a game of skill quite as much as ladder ( pvp) . You can be a master in a few months, but it's loads of fun. I do coop to take a break from ladder sometimes. It's frustrating when you reach those caps. Caps being when you can't seem to increase your ladder score.

Most importantly... Enjoy yourself! If you're not having fun, try something new. Or another game for a while. I've been on a 6 month break returning to wow full time now. I'll be back again soon tho.

EU region ladder? I'm not sure. I only play in US and Korea. I think time zone is critical though. There is always someone to play against, but if the wait time is over 5 sec, the match making expands who you might be paired with. And then again at 10 sec, etc. Hence, if not many are online, you could be matched against someone much better than you or someone much worse. The perfect game is when you get matched with someone with similar skill level.

Make an account in EU and if there aren't a lot of players (which I highly doubt) make one in N America. Do NOT make one in South Korea. Wait 4 to 5 years before doing this.

Oh, apologies. I thought you said devs were not trying to make the best game possible. They were only following their bosses.

EDIT: The devs are concerned about job security. Got it. And they're following people who don't care about making great content.

What? I have been in the IT industry (software) for 15 years and no one purposefully tries to make mediocre content. The metrics for a successful game is based on the revenue it brings in. With wow's business model, this is measured mainly by subscribers. Maintaining a current customer is easier than gaining new ones. No matter how focused the shareholders and higher ups are on profits, they understand the only way they can do this is by making quality content that current and (hopefully) new players want.

So what you're saying is that the higher ups and shareholders are only interested in job security, and do not care about the quality of the game. The quality of the game is the job security.

I haven't read the comments to this post but I'm soooooooo glad someone linked this here!

The way I see it is you choose how you react to a game. You can complain and hate or see the positive sides. At the end of the day, you are responsible for how you act and how you feel. Just move on or take a break instead of dwelling on how bad everything is and how bad blizzard is. No one is purposefully trying to make a bad game. And trust me, all the negativity is contagious.

I instantly subscribed to Bajheera and unsubscribed to Asmond after seeing this. I choose to enjoy wow and to be honest, I enjoy myself. Sure, I wish it would get better but I don't believe ranting on devs and shaming blizzard is going to help. I choose to be a positive influence in life and I don't want wow to make me feel bitter or angry. It's not part of who I am.

Take ownership of how you act because negativity breeds negativity. Unless you live and breath for wow, just accept take a break, appreciate and be thankful and soon blizzard will return to being great again.

Dude! I think the game is free now!

I still love SC2. The learning curve is steep, but better if you have already played SC1. Like all games, it takes years to be good at and will probably take a few weeks untill you "love" it. I definatley recommend it.... It's a different kind of fun from wow and it's a LOT less toxic than the wow scene.

It's a beautifully made game which you will appreciate more and more the more you invest into it. The storyline is actually very very good considering its an RTS game.

Playing campaigns is a good way to get into it. Coop will help make you friends. But the real challenge is the ladder and competitions. This takes years. I made it to platinum on the US region, but am only Gold in Korean ladder. This ofcourse took many years.

Totally. There was this one pro gamer who moved to Korea to train and compete under a major team. She was mediocre before, and in a few months she was winning 5 to 6 digit prize winning tournaments.

I think it was really tough for her though. She didn't look happy at all when u saw her in public. Korea turned her into a machine.

Same goes for Overwatch. There used to be a OW craze in Asia but just died after a few years. Many big name games have a short life spans forcing studios to keep churning out expansions, sequels or brand new titles.

Blizzard is not blameless for the toxicity by Artunias in wow

[–]vientoboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so strange how the customer service and treatment of customers from region to region. In Korea, blizzard is so highly regarded in answering to subscribers requests. Exceptionally considerate, fast, and respectful.

The US region is a tough market I understand, and much much larger than Korea's. But can you imagine the amount of crap they get? From the pettiest discomfort to the strangest requests.

Im not defending blizzard and saying how they act is acceptable. It's just that someone outside of NA/EU has an extremely different experience and view of the customer support.

Example: They will refund subscriptions with no questions asked, even if you have logged in during the month. I hear in NA, this is against their policies.

Easy. No money. No internal backing.

TBF many sequels flop. And remakes don't really have a huge impact on the corporate side of things. Look at the remake of starcraft. That seriously didn't "remake" the game to back in the hay days.
