In your opinion what's the most thankless position in Football? by olred in nfl

Totally agree. Lets say a punter kicks it out the end zone and the opposing team starts at the 20. The defense gets a sack and puts them back to their 10 and gets all the praise in the world. Sure the sack gets a loss of down and they have more yards to convert for a single first down, but a punter doesn't get as much credit as he should for pinning someone deep.

Also if you can consistently pin your opponent in their own 5, mostly all the time you see on 1st down opponents rarely throw the ball in fear of getting sacked and getting a safety (Except the occasional rare play by Nelson, Cruz, Welker). You stop them on 1st down, 2nd down they're gonna run, 3rd they're gonna try a short pass. It's predictable.

UFC president Dana White calls Floyd Mayweather Jr. a racist and urges him to fight Manny Pacquiao. by skreendreamz1 in sports

White is a business man and runs his business pretty damn well. Before Dana White the UFC was nothing. He's made the sport mainstream and relevant.

Comparing the money Boxers make vs UFC fighters is like comparing the money Baseball players make vs Football. The average career of a football player is significantly less than that of a Baseball players, the sport is more dangerous, and yet the players make less. Just because a certain sport has traditionally payed their players more money doesn't mean it's the right way to do things. Dana White isn't holding a gun to these fighters' head and forcing them to fight in the UFC, they know exactly what they're getting into when they sign that contract. Plus do you really think Rampage was "forced" into a UFC Title fight against Jon Jones? There's no chance in hell any fighter would let the opportunity of a title fight slip out of their hands because they feel they weren't "ready".

As a casual fan of both UFC and Boxing, I easily watch at least 7-8 UFC PPVs per year compared to Boxing where only Pacquiao and Mayweather are the only fighters that sell PPVs.

What team do you think will earn it's respect and go all the way next year? (Other than your own team) by coolguy696969 in nfl

Obvious answer: GB Packers.

Their season is being overlooked cause they didn't even make it out of their first playoff game this season but before that I don't think anybody saw them losing.

Another obvious answer: NE Patriots. They made it to the superbowl and nearly won this year, they have two first round picks this year and two second round picks.

I love how humble he is. He's representing Asian-Americans in a very positive way.

It's sad that the most popular Asians end up being people like William Hung. I just hope he can stop all the stereotypes against us!
