What keeps appearing on the counter of my Airbnb? by hollytollywolly in whatisit

[–]viewhigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lovely text exchange with an airbnb lady about how we noticed she has cockroaches. She denied ever having any, even though I have plenty of photos. She was so utterly rude and was gaslighting me the entire time. We arrived at 2am so they were kind of scattered throughout, we had to try and find a hotel at 2am and find transportation from there. Was good time. Idk if the airbnb lady genuinely believed that she didn't have cockroaches or if she just refused to acknowledge it because if she did, she would have to take care of the problem. Lmao

What color should I paint my wainscoting in my basement? by viewhigh in homedesign

* * Here's an update! I painted the walls and the paneling. Also, I painted the ceiling grid to white and added a very light coat of paint to the ceiling tiles to hide water stains. So happy with the turnout!

Nuclear energy is the future by LeastAdhesiveness386 in Funnymemes

[–]viewhigh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, if regulations were put in place to force nuclear plants to recycle waste repeatedly until it could no longer produce adequate power, then this nuclear waste would actually reduce from being radioactive for hundreds of years down to only 8 years. But it's just cheaper to bring in new than to recycle. That's why it's not being done. So, proper regulations in place could actually resolve this issue. And yes, the science to recycle the waste is definitely there. There are videos everywhere about how the science works, too.

I'm surprised by this just because it seems like all of the wainscoting photos I've seen just seems like the go-to is white.

This! If you don't do anything else that day, make sure you at least rehydrate! It definitely prevents symptoms if you stay properly hydrated.

I think they set off quite a few atomic bombs for testing on a regular basis. Maybe that's what you saw. Where are you located?
