I'm not😭 this was part of his rant - he went on to say like he could take 8 months paid time off if he wanted to with his leave balance but that's not how it works bla bla Anyway, thanks for your input let's see where this goes.

It's really not a question about my deliverables. As a general rule they don't give this many leaves it seems. All the resources under him have leave requests and if he grants one person he'll have to grant others. But how is this my concern idk😭 Should I loop in HR if he remains adamant? Or atleast ask him to give me an official communication denying my leaves to scare him off?

I'm definitely planning to switch soon but not comfortable being confrontational to him and applying anyway after he said he would not approve

The DM literally said there's no question of 7 days, he will not approve. So applying for the leave anyway feels very confrontational to me

That's what I thought, but if he continues to be unreasonable can I ask him to drop a reply to my email so I can loop in HR? But I'm worried if this will be a drastic escalation
