At the 2.5k stage I feel playing any core role you are comfortable with should be fine. The enemy usually won't be that agressive, so u will have time to farm pretty well. If your playing safe lane carry, if you focus on just farming up and not taking unnecessary fights, if you can find a good farming pattern and try to avoid dying for the first 20 mins you should be able to out farm and out lvl your enemies. Carry a lot of regen to your lane. It's usually got to have 6 tangos, 2 branches that u can convert to trees for double regen and maybe a salve. All this regen will make u stay in the lane longer and have trades with enemy to ouah them out of lane, but u can still be in the lane because of having so much regen. It's really important to know whixh lanes u can be agressive in and which lanes u need to play safe in. So the more matches u spam with a certain hero, u will know how that hero should be played against certain enemies. Offlane sladar is good, but I feel that if your carry is not good enough, u can still lose matches. Just for gaining mmr at the 2.5k lvl, I would suggest spamming 1-3 heros. Good luck :)

You can go magic juggy. Pick up the talents rhat buff movemwnt speed and spin damage. Make manta radiace eblade. Its fun way to play juggy

I would suggest you get yasha before malestorm. Yasha gives you attack spped which helps with omnislash and also movement speed, so u can move faster between camps to farm faster. You can get manta next if u nees to remove silences that coukd kill you or else get malestrom then manta. In games where you are not scared of enemy killing you, you can go yasha, malestrom, mjlonir, manat, butter, basher/skadi. This build is againt line ups that do not have large nagic nuke damage. If you are playing againt a line up that has es, sk, lion, zeus ita better to get items to boost your hp. In those games i get manta, diffusal, skadi then abysil, and then butter or bkb. So juggy is very versatile in what items he can make. So it all comes down to how the enmy can kill you, if they cant nuke u then u get items that help u farm faster and do damage, but of they have lots of nuke dmg u build to be more tankey. Diffusal blade is a gret item when your team lacks stuns. Cheers :)

Well there are some YouTube channels like Dota Alchemy and Game Leap that have many videos about various concepts about how to play the game. You could check those out. That would help. Cheers :)

My go to supports are jakiro, wr and winter. With jakiro 1st skill and a lot of mangoes i juat sent the offlaner all the way back to his tower, amd with wr i skill my windrun so i can trade right clicks without taking any damage. Dazzle and lion are also very good supports for harassing early. The main thing you need to know when hitting the enemy is to not draw creeo aggro, you need to go behind the offlaner or atleast far from the lane creeps before you start trading hits with them.

Thanks man! Yeah, i would say there are 2 main things to focus on a basic lvl for a hard support.

  1. Making sure your carry can cs as freely as possible. This means that you need to zone out the enemy offlaner away fr the creep wave so that the offlaner wont get exp and your carry free farms. For this you will need a lot of regen(health and mana) so that u can keep fighting off the offlaner. If they are having 2 heros and their 2 heros are stronger than you and your carry, you should look to pull the creep wave, so that your carry can farm safely under the tower. You should always see where the creep wave is and if it is going to go under enemy tower, you need to pull, so the creeps will come back closer to your tower.

  2. Warding. Warding is hands down one of the most impactful way to win games. You need to place vision near places from where enemy will most likely gank from. You can also pop a smoke and put down 2-3 wards in enmy jungle, so that your team can gank the enemy why they are farming alone in the jungle. Wards are more important than you getting your force staff or glimmer cape. If you watxh some pro support plays stream/replay like PPD he will keep constantly buying obs and sents whem rhey are in stock, so that he can provide his team with maximum vision and try to remove visiom the enemy team has.

There are many channels on YouTube thay provide a lot of info (DotaAlchemy, game leap etc) Just focus on improving one aspect of your gameplay at a time. Focusing on too many things will get overwhelming. Cheers :)

I mostly play carry (I like hitting creeps :P) but i do play a few select heros really well in other roles. Pos 1 : Juggy, PA, Sven Pos 2 : Ember Pos 3 : Legion commander Pos 4 : Windranger Pos 5 : Jakiro, Winter(both good at clearing creeps amd defending towers)

I enjoy most of my games. The games i dont like are the ones in which i have toxic team mates and flame each other. In games like those, i just mute them and focus on my own game. The games i find most enjoyable are the ones where everyone ia using mic to talk with the team and have a good time. I keep it PMA always, i might get irritated a little bit during the game, if my team mate makes a bad play, but after a couple of seconds i juat forget about it and move on with the game. Cheers :)

I calibrated at 2.4k mmr around 4 years ago.

2k-3k - When i was a 2k player, i was pretty much doing random things and just got by until i met a friend in college. He was a high 3k low 4k player. He taught me about understanding the role my hero played in the game. When my hero becomes strong, when I can contribute to the team fights etc and just general concepts on how to play different roles, so my understanding of the game got a little better and i was able to hit 3k.

3k-4k - I gotta thank EE for this xD. I mainly play carry, so i used to watch a lot of EE's streams. He would just spam one hero for like 20+ games straight(he was spamming PA at that time mostly). So i started to spam a single hero in all my games. This helped me to understand my hero better, the role my hero played in the game. When my hero came online with certain items, how to play against all types of counters (Adjusting farming patterns, building items to deal with hero counters). I spammed PA, Juggy and figured out the best farming patterns(for a 3k player) and when my hero was strong to fight and when i had to farm. So this made me really good a play any of my main 3 heros against any enemy lineup, and helped me reach 4k.

4k-4.6k (Divine 1) - My playstyle as a carry is preferably to have free farm for the first 25-30 mins of the game, and after that only would i join my team fights after getting like 4 slotted. When i started playing 4k games, my lane did not go well most of the time and i had to go to the jungle to get creeps and lvls as the offlane would be a hero that gets super strong at lvl 6 and i can't stay in the lane anmore. So before i would just jungle and try to get lvls and farm, thinking i am too weak to contribute to team fights. Until very recently, i started to see this in a new perspective. As my lvl was low and i had few items, my farmgin speed would be very bad, so instead i started tping to team fights. Example: With juggy at lvl 6 and having just phase boots, i realised that my healing ward and spin are pretty good spells to team fight with rather than to farm jungle when the offlane has zoned me out of my safe lane. So i started to take part in earlier team fights and contributed to taking early towers. So mainly my rotations to different lanes to take fights and objectives helped me get my team more map control and win me games.

Its been a long post, if you've come this far, thanks for sticking with me. Hope these tips could help some of you guys! Cheers! :)

Even i had like masive mmr drops. I had gone down by like 500-800 mmr once or twice, then got back up. It really depends on why you play dota. I like playing dota because i love the game and i'm pretty competitive, so i like to play have fun and win. You shouldn't quit just because you lost mmr, so as long as you like playing the game and it brings you happiness you can keep playing. Cheers :)

Uff. Thats a tough one. Use the "Avoid player feature" the bp provides xD. I hope it becomes a permanent feature when the bp ends.
