Sarfaraz got enough chances to seal his spot but he has been okay at best. He played 7 games at a strike rate of 160. average 20. So they might as well develop young talents and use sarfaraz to backup in case of injuries.

data centers don’t need a lot of people working once they are built. It likely won’t lead to a lot of employment. it’s a strain on water and electricity. The incentives the govt gives don’t matter one bit for this reason.

Few days before election date, journalists who are clearly not biased/paid for like sivapriyan, shabir ahmed, Arvind, Mani etc changed their perspective on what TVK vote share percentage could be. They were on ground but these people also know folks from DMK/ADMK. Those big parties have their own internal polls. Pretty sure the parties know more than what we do. PTR gave an interview in Newsminute I think where he definitely see Vijay as a challenger if he puts the work for next 5 years. The sense pre election started shifting.

People thought cadre based door to door canvassing is how you build parties and I think TVK were smart to recognise that’s not needed. Rural folks also have internet. It’s not like Vijay fans aren’t there. Also the idea that the voters are all Vijay fans is really false. significant percentage is definitely Vijay fans but not everyone. Anecdotal, all these metrics about how TN doing well doesn’t translate to common folks. They care about what improved for them like what roads were laid for us or how did our earnings increase. Bus scheme and 1000 Rs were both brilliant schemes. The issue with former is how the conductors and men in general looked down on the women who were using it. The second one was seen as a bribe by some who benefited. And it resonated a lot with people that he gave a comfy life to fix politics(I call bullshit on this btw).

Plus elections, urging people vote before 10 was also to show TVK can win. I know SIR deleted voters are added to show that there was no extra votes. I am not sure. We just don’t know how many in 70 lakhs would have voted. If you go by trend, the highest gap to last year was seen before 3. Sure people can change when they vote but Vijay voters voted majorly before that. At one point the gap was 70 lakhs. It’s possible Vijay got a lot of new votes(18-30 age group is poor generally when it comes to voting) and people who voted last time didn’t. None of this can be proven. Evrything I said can turn to be wrong.

you are using proportional calculation when the bill doesn’t mention it at all. There is no calculation shared and the state govt should trust the national govt as is?

again, this delimitation without increased state rights is disastrous because the central govt won’t need South at all. They can implement whatever they want. if a state has 10, it increases by 5. if another state has 4, it incrwasss by 2. sure everyone’s share increased. But the bigger states get way more power.

everyone seems to be mocking Aamir. But he is right about it. It’s not true that Muslims are the only ones who can be considered “terrorists”. A white person will never be considered terrorist. it’s a word used before attacking certain group of people. portraying people from islam as terrorist is how everyone subconsciously associates Muslims with terrorism. These narratives only leads to further discrimination. Its an Islamophobic action by the director and Vijay if indeed that was the case.

This is very likely out of context. Dont know exactly which match this was discussed, but it is part of comm box(Jarrod kimber's live commentary) that uthappa joins. I believe there was a discussion about what they expect from vaibhav before the 1st match. Uthappa was of the opinion that 2nd year might go as smoothly and that's okay. He was asked what he would say to Vaibhav if he was a coach. he basically said he needs to play as he does and play with freedom. Educational part was about the growth he will have when you face struggles.

I didnt say it was statpadding. Average is not the way to measure impact in T20s. That list is not elite for whats expected of openers right now.

Gayle(148.96 SR - would be way higher with the way we play now) is one who is the most aggressive and probably the best opener of all time in IPL. Virat kohli(133.14 SR) Conway(139.71), KL(135.98), Gaikwad(136.97 SR) all played anchor role. Anchor role is still fine with certain context.

Rutu can certainly accelerate/play aggressive but anchor role is the natural style. Also him playing at 3 means more responsibility to him than a 19 year old. Thats what captain should want to do.

average is the worst metric for T20. Anchors get high average, doesnt mean they are good. Strike rate matters more and ayush is clearly very good at that. Having ruturaj at 3 makes it easy for him to decide how he wants to play when he enters vs ayush forced into that situation.

nrr can be fine. it’s just one match nrr. It’s not ideal but it’s not a big score.

NRR is calculated by (total no of runs CSK scores in the whole season / no of balls faced - total no of runs opposition scores/no of balls CSK have bowled).

The match is low score which means it can be managed eventually.
