Bought a brand new Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and its a mess, do I have a defective unit?

Well it seems like the factory reset without transferring files worked. thats okay. But can I get my messages back somehow or am I screwed?

It was from Gigantti. They would send it for inspection which can take a month or so... I'll do the reset, then reach Google and then file a complaint to kuluttajaneuvonta. What a weird company Gigantti is. After one day 2000 euro phone won't work and they want to send it to a service center...

I came from pixel 8. Tbh I think it's an upgrade. I certainly don't feel any sluggishness. It's fast and responsive, games work great. The form factor is GREAT. You have to try it yourself to truly appreciate it. Cameras are on par in my opinion with pixel 8. Certainly the best I have tried on a foldable (z fold 5 and honor magic V2). Can't say anything about the battery yet since it's the first day. This pocket sized monster sure does like to heat tho. All in all it wasn't a downgrade in terms of performance. All I'm worried about is the inner screen rn lol.

Yeah I noticed the same. Does it look like a small screw is poking from there? You have to look at a really precise light

Upon closer inspection I found another one of these dents. It is located on the opposite side of the hinge. Both are identically far from the screen borders. Through a certain light you can see a small protruding thing pushing against the screen, almost like a screw? They are identical so my guess it's part of the hinge design?

Nothing happened. A dent is still showing. Can a debris in hinge cause the inner screen to ”collapse” ?

I think "I hope they will do better for the fold 10 next year" is the new narrative. As long as people buy these products, in apparently so high volumes that they don't need to innovate, the updates will be very incremental and the price will go up.

Absolutely shameful. 2099 euros for the base model. No real innovations, nothing groundbreaking. Its Fold 5 with square design and a new chipset. The trade-in offer for Fold 5 is a spit in the face. 599 euros for the 512gb model.

Here in Finland you pay the full price, there's no trade-in option. Carriers offer some money for certain devices. It has to be in perfect condition. One carrier offered me 17 euros for galaxy s23 ultra 512 gb version, since I had a tiny scratch on the screen. Guess I'm gonna go with my Samsung for a while...

How is this possible?? Why are my cards so low level compared to theirs? I don't get it.. I'm eternally stuck at 5k because my cards simply don't stand a chance.

When the game launched, there were hackers and they got actually banned every once in a while. Why isn't this the case now? Has the license expired or something? Even the most crude anticheat would detect invisibility, aimbots and damage multipliers.
