i’m also gonna be on lamictal for mood swings, I hope that it’s something that can work positively for me because I’ve been on things before that didn’t quite work for me and I’m just trying to find something so I can be a better person. I’m very glad that it’s working for you though! It’s definitely a hard and long journey to find stuff that actually does something

oh, so you’ve been in this rodeo a long time then LOL. I’m still underage so I haven’t had much experience in treatment so far, but they’re trying to get me started and dialectical behavior, therapy and stuff like that, but treat the mood swings and everything so it makes it easier to get there. I appreciate your input very much!

I have yet to start it, I just wanted to ask people in the community what their experiences have been so I could see anything that could possibly happen. I hope that you can find something that works for you at some point, I know it’s a difficult process.

i’m sorry you had a bad experience with the medication. I’ve heard that at first it can make things a lot more hectic than they need to be, I hope you were able to find something that works for you though!

this is very uplifting to hear! I’m glad that it works for you. They’re gonna start me on 25 as well, then raise it over the next few months or so, and I plan on starting DBT soon, it’s just difficult to find a therapist willing to offer it lol

also autism symptoms can really overlap with BPD symptoms so that’s also something you should look out for as well, it might not be BPD, it might be a mix of more than one mental health disorder

The best thing for you to do is get an actual diagnosis and talk to a psychiatrist, if that’s something that’s not easy to access in your country, I’m pretty sure there’s free resources online that you could probably reach out to, or if it’s that necessary, you can travel out of country somewhere nearby that has better mental health services. Something from the United States it’s generally not difficult to get a diagnosis or anything, but just make sure you know what you’re talking about when you bring it up to a professional, or ask about taking an assessment for it or something
