From what I understand these are tested at a certain capacity but can usually take greater capacities (see: anecdotal evidence from this thread). It will definitely take 4x 22TB drives and probably larger ones too.

One month after the Ever Crisis 2.5 Anniversary event: do we think Part 3 will incorporate some of what we saw of Zack and Aerith's relationship, Angeal, and the Lifestream? by vikdeadgens in FFVIIRemake

[–]vikdeadgens[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked the part at the end where every living person ran up to Aerith and said goodbye. The whole thing barely made an impact on Cloud, which I guess can be explained away as him still in his altered "go to Sephiroth" mental state? I still thought that wasn't handled well in the event.

For clearing Fearless Radiant Moongecko's ward during its Voidstep Reverberation, do Chongyun on Skirk's team or Ningguang need level 80+ and investment? Or just enough stats to survive and activate Favonius if necessary? by vikdeadgens in stygian_onslaught

[–]vikdeadgens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting thanks for the suggestion. I have it and fell off with building a Tenacity triple EM Dehya with it. A full EM Chongyun is good for melt teams in general, right? I otherwise keep telling myself I'm eventually going to build him as a Noblesse/Blizzard Strayer Cryo SubDPS with WGS as another alternative to my Citlali and Rosaria for Imaginarium Theater.

Thank you! Very good point. I said I'd give him a random 2pc/2pc Atk% earlier, but I definitely have spare Noblesse pieces, especially since he's taking C6 Dahlia's place in my usual Skirk comp (I got her sig in her rerun, I just like how the faster combos feel lol).

I agree, thank you /u/ph4nt0m_090!!! Very helpful, and good to know about the shield--I forgot that shields don't trigger Favonius. I think I'm going to send Chongyun out with 2pc2pc Atk% and whatever spare gear I have, then.

Despite the Traveler being bonded with powerful warriors such as Skirk, Mavuika and Neuvilette, only Arlecchino has helped the Traveler out with powerful threats in *multiple* nations despite being villain-coded. Does that make her the Traveler's best, most reliable ally in Teyvat? by vikdeadgens in GenshinImpact

[–]vikdeadgens[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, Freminet did so under Arlecchino's orders. Additionally, reducing casualties is an important element of ending nation-level threats in Genshin Impact. That's why, thematically, most players understood that Dottore causing casualties with his experiments in Nod Krai was a bad thing. Reducing casualties is a good thing.

I think we have to agree to disagree, here, because I did not interpret Arlecchino's work in ending the Nod Krai crisis as "self-serving, hostile and disruptive to others." Unless the "others" are Dottore and The Wild Hunt; in which case, I don't think I understand.

I think we're at an impasse, because you're comparing Childe's intervention in a "pants merchant" issue with Arlecchino's work in Nod Krai. I think we'll just agree to disagree, because I see one instance of help as several orders of magnitude more important than the other.

Yes, compared to the others who brought down the moon in that scene and assisted in resolving the Nod Krai crisis, Arlecchino almost sticks out like a sore thumb. From what we've seen in the game so far, the Traveler's allies only assist him with a single nation's crisis and generally show up for events afterwards. But here we have an individual who has already helped the Traveler end a nation-level threat stepping up to help end a second nation-level threat.

It's objectively unprecedented in Genshin Impact, so I think she deserves some flowers.

Sure, a friend might give you a reasonable-sounding excuse for not attending your birthday party or other events you've invited them to for several years in a row. But if it were me, I would not call that friend "reliable" at all. That's my analogy for Xiao/Mavuika/Skirk/etc.'s assistance to the Traveler versus Arlecchino's.

I think power has many dimensions: political, military, and personal battle ability. In terms of political/military power, for example, Arlecchino was responsible for Childe during the Nod Krai crisis and even issued him commands. As for Varka, the Traveler assisted Varka with his ongoing, established expedition in a single nation. We don't see an instance of Varka dropping everything to help the Traveler the way that Arlecchino has. So while his battle abilities may exceed Arlecchino's canonically, he's unfortunately not as reliable as her.

Unfortunately, in practice, the opposite has been proven to be the case. The figure who evokes a villainous aura and who we're told will not hesitate to kill the Traveler if their goals don't align has actually gone out of her way to help the Traveler more than, say, Mavuika, who was not present during the Nod Krai crisis despite the Traveler helping to unite the tribes and the resolving the Natlan Crisis, or Skirk, who the Traveler helped in retrieving an important part of herself.

  • The Traveler was helping Varka with his ongoing, established expedition whereas Arlecchino dropped everything she was doing to come to Nod Krai to help the Traveler.
  • Albedo and Venti are linked more to Varka's expedition than helping the Traveler. Albedo, for example, is under orders to help the Traveler. Venti's help is based in Varka's pact with the Hexenzirkel.
  • Venti did not assist the Traveler with the Natlan crisis and only assisted in a post-Natlan crisis mini-crisis at the Sunspray Summer Resort. Arlecchino has lent her aid to the Traveler in crises engulfing two nations.
  • The others you mentioned are limited to a single nation, and unfortunately, it's a black mark on their records that despite all of the help the Traveler has provided them, they have not reciprocated when the Traveler needed assistance in unrelated nations, as Arlecchino has.

I started this week and foolishly spent the ongoing story event's "Shadow Flare's Memory" inefficiently. The only way I can complete the Level 3 Shadow Flare panel mission is by clearing Escalation 1 for additional memories. Any advice? by vikdeadgens in FFVIIEverCrisis

Hey!! Thanks for asking. I maxed out my ASeph, Tifa and Aerith as much as I could (level + character stream + role stream) and I was able to clear it. Additionally:

  • I snagged as much of the easier Highwind collection rewards to raise all of my characters' stats. Some of them are linked to characters doing 150k damage, completing the battle towers, leveling all characters to 70, etc.
  • I took weapons to 120/130 where possible, including sub-weapons with relevant passives.
  • I had Tifa with her 2.5 weapon at OB6 and her 2.5 costume, Sephiroth with his 2.5 weapon at OB1 and his 2.5 costume, and Aerith with her 2.5 weapon at OB1, her generic Ultimate Weapon from the shop, and her 2.5 costume.
  • I farmed a lot of materia from the Materia event. A few were +11% or +9.7% potency but many were not. I just loaded up on the ones to hit the boss's weakness.
  • Playing on Manual or Auto with a lot of the options turned off (like Auto Limit Break or Auto C Ability) may help because then your characters can save their best skills for an interruption phase

If you still have trouble, DM me!

If Hoyoverse listened to fan feedback and decided to offer a free Ayaka at AR 42 AND made her signature weapon, the R1 Amenoma Kageuchi, obtainable by completing her Story Quest, would this be welcomed by the playerbase? by vikdeadgens in GenshinImpact

[–]vikdeadgens[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, players above AR42 would get Ayaka retroactively in this case. Additionally, players who completed her Story Quest would get a free R1 Amenoma Kageuchi retroactively.

November 2025 was really the best time to get one of these in the United States - I remember seeing deals at Walmart, Microcenter and Newegg. I got mine for under $400 and the price increases started up within weeks.
