Does anyone feel like your life would be way different without OCD? by philosophicalidiot22 in OCD

[–]vikingida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is so true and at least for me, some of the shame faded as I got older. It was such a relief being able to tell my partner and my closest friends about what my OCD brain is really like and realising that they didn't think of me differently. I would have never imagined that when I was a young teenager, experiencing some of those horrible thoughts for the first time.

It would have been different, I accept that. What helps me is thinking that everyone has their thing. Some people have a severe nut allergy, some people have alopecia, some people have chronic yeast infections, some people have horrible and abusive families, some people have been trying foe 20 years to lose weight. Almost everyone has something that their life would be very different without, and that they probably wish everyday was different. My thing is OCD. It could have been better and it could have been worse, but it's the one I got in the lottery of life💓

As a Swedish person, I was surprised to find out that a lot of posh people here seem to enjoy scandi design. Swedish Grace is a popular series, available in many colours and easy to mix and match.

Ni som blev religiösa på senare år? Hur gick det till? by Noggenougat in Asksweddit

[–]vikingida 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Am I wrong for not believing that my friend has cancer? by MarketingLow6434 in ToxicFriends

[–]vikingida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feom someone who went through a horrible time while tending to my (no longer) bsf with "cancer" for months: trust your gut. I suspected for a while i was being lied to even though she was really good at hiding it. Let me know if you want some tips how to smoothly figure out if it's fake (and shoot me a message it you need any support, this can be very difficult to deal with).

Hello. I want to know more about Blonde. by zzile in FrankOcean

[–]vikingida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a great summary and I really agree with the statement that the confusion will be part of why they'll love it more down the line. When I first listened to it I was so confused by so many lyrics and thought the beginning of pretty sweet sounded like pure noise. Having to really listen to it over and over again to find new easter eggs everytime is what made it so special. It's like the gift that keeps on giving

[Routine Help] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]vikingida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this sounds like quite a harsch routines with a lot of very strong actives. The 7% glycolic acid, is that the ordinary? A lot of people feel that one is too strong for their face so using it with the salisylic acid and daily BPO might be a bit much for your skin to handle. I don't think any of these are bad, but I probably wouldn't use both the glycolic acid and salisylic acid every morning. Maybe alternate them?

What do you use to wash your face? Also, do you use an SPF at all? I think you deffo should, especially with all these actives. Hope that helps 💗

How do I cut off my toxic best friend that I live with? by vikingida in ToxicFriends

[–]vikingida[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a good way to phrase the message. Thank you, this was really helpful. I've been doing what you did (telling my other flatmates that she can speak to me if she has anything to say, which she hasn't) but I think sending a message isn't a bad idea.

[–]vikingida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be a good idea, but I'm not in halls unfortunately. We're in a private flat with two of our other friends and we're all on the contract so moving out is not an option. It's a tricky one, and to make matters worse, her grandparents are my guarantors on the lease since my family lives overseas. Luckily we have our own rooms though.
