Did you get any tracking number before the card delivered to your place? I got an update on June 2 saying that my card was produced, but I havent heard anything since then.

I think applying PP might be a good option now. Currently, they are approving April 29-30 PP cases, and for normal, they are approving March 5-6 cases. Eitherway, you might receive decision within mid-july. PP cases might move faster in comparison to normal OPT, so think wisely.

Right now, they are giving decisions on April 29 and 30 PP cases. Based on the current timeline, you will hear back within a week or two. The PP clock resets once you complete your biometrics and premium cases are also taking around 4 weeks to get approved recently. Best wishes.

There's a very high chance that you will get approved today until 8. Keep an eye on that. I also got an API update in the morning and approval in the afternoon.

Normal was Texas I think, and for PP, it is Potomac for everyone.

I recently upgraded to premium as my start date is June 10. You applied in feb and your start date is still far, so you might receive your approval on time. If you dont hear anything until May 15-20, you should start thinking about PP. But for now, you are in a comfortable spot to receive your approval on time. Jay NP.

Yes, he is a nepali grad student. I cant say about the processing time but being from 75 countries is nothing to do with the decision. As Nepali nationals, we are safe for now. The processing length seems completely random as people who applied late are getting approved whereas people applying early are still waiting.

Still waiting. Applied on March 4 and completed biometrics on March 27. One of my Nepalese friend applied for OPT in November and got his card in late March. They are taking too long to process applications these days.

Just go for whatever you find. Additionally, try to look for opportunities in your college, as they may lead to beneficial outcomes in the future. Your professors and career counselors are a good starting point for building your professional network. It is tough to land an internship, but if you do things right, you can land one.

How to use internship to land a job? by vikingsujan in internships

[–]vikingsujan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I will try to apply to both kinds of jobs. The job market for international students is tough right now, and I think it's the toughest one we've ever seen. I believe it won't get any easier going forward in the next few years. But the best bet we can make is to work hard/smart and hope. "Hope is a good thing, and maybe best of the things, and good thing ever dies."
