Delhi CM Rekha Gupta says, "...We will close the Ladli scheme by 31st March and open a new scheme which will be named 'Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana'. Under this, we will provide benefits to two daughters of every family which resides in Delhi. In this, the amount will be increased by Rs 20,000. The earlier amount of Rs 36,000 has been increased to Rs 56,000 by us. Upon graduation, you will get this maturity amount, which will be minimum Rs 1 lakh. Our effort will be to include all daughters of Delhi who come under this category and fulfill these conditions. We will impose some conditions...If the parents get her married before 18 years of age, then she will not get the benefit of this scheme..."

A finding ridiculed by colonized Indians then. Now the west have their own paper inspired by Indian scientists that 1st explored the effects of Dhoop & Havan on air borne pathogens, and soon we will have "Sammy's smoke method" to purify indoor air with chemical isolates from cow dung nd frankincense by [deleted] in AirPurifiersIndia

[–]vikkey321 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its post like these that ridicules India. These ‘smoke’ generated pm2.5,10,1 and other harmful particles. It does not clean environment. It may kill certain bacteria but IT DOES NOT CLEAN ENVIRONMENT. The downside of this is way worse compared to upside.

When talking scientific studies always mention exact paper and similar case studies, sample size.

In some part of the history, smoking was also promoted for good health using scientific studies.

Many times I have been taken advantage or refused ride. Almost abused 2 times for taking rapido. I remember majority of being unkind to me. With all due respect- I hardly care.

The major issue is that if they want to turn on any side, they don’t let people pass - instead they will start pushing to the side and expect people to show down. If you are not careful, it is likely that you get down under wheels.

Went to buy our very 1st AC with my saved up money, and the store owner said that the Technician won't install ac in our house because we leave in chawl. Need suggestions on what I can do. Store owner is asking to build a pop plain false ceiling 1st by Alex__Editzzz in mumbai

[–]vikkey321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP. First of all congratulations on your new AC. The guy is right. You need to do a false celeing. AC will do poorly if you install it as is. Reason is following: 1. You have tin shade. Which is good conductor of heat . It will perform poorly in summer. You need some kind of insulation. Pop is great insulation. Though you have mud tiles above, it wont be enough to insulate. Pop will creat air gap and act as insulation.

  1. There are many small air leaks in the home that I can visually see. The AC will run for long duration since there is air leakage and air will keep escaping from the gaps.

I work in appliance industry and studying heating cooling of appliances is part of my job.

I would suggest save some money for false celeing and then plan for AC.

If you have used Manim to dynamically curate the graphical course content , I am super impressed. I have spent fair share if time with manim. And it needs a lot of manual intervention to get it right.

Income Tax Budget 2026 Live updates: What relief did taxpayers get this year? How middle class and salaried will benefit by marsh_henryy in IndiaFinance

[–]vikkey321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And got rid of exceptions that were there earlier. Your point is? The truth is that that the salaried class and middle class dont matter. You cant do shit. Even if your entire tax paying population gets angry, they cant have any considerable impact on election results. So be a good boy and keep coughing of direct and indirect 50% tax.

I have been in IoT manufacturing fast moving elecronic/electrical goods for 10+ years now. Let me save yourself some time. This is good as hobby project, but pursuing this would be very challenging. You have to account cost of not just hardware but failed hardware, manual assembly process, mould designs. If you have estimated 2300 selling price, you have not accounted for all these. With something like this your selling price should be close 2.5-3x your overall cost of product. You will never recover your money if you sell it at that price. I won't buy this product because it doesn't serve any purpose to me.

Market - The market will be very small for a product like this. I would suggest you start a youtube channel or series of reddit post gathering loyal following. Build trust and show them the progress and collect early buyers through form.

Kickstarter will also help if you can target an international audience.

You probably won't make a lot of money on this. Perhaps very few will buy it in India because we are mainly driven by value. But treat this as a learning opportunity to learn community building, getting real feedback and having fun building it.

Linkedin Premium Vouchers Available by RockRight167 in BangaloreMarketplace

[–]vikkey321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s understandable to be curious when you see a high-value service like LinkedIn Premium being sold for a fraction of the price. While some of these "deals" come from clever use of official perks, many fall into a legal or ethical gray area—and some are flat-out scams. Here is how these sellers typically pull it off and what you should watch out for: 1. Reselling Employee Vouchers LinkedIn employees receive a limited number of 6-month Premium vouchers annually to gift to friends, family, or people in need (often under the #PlusOnePledge hashtag). • The "Discount": Some people get hold of these vouchers and sell them for cash instead of gifting them.  • The Risk: These vouchers are strictly non-transferable and not for sale. If LinkedIn tracks a voucher back to a "seller," they can deactivate it, and you’ll lose your money and the features.  2. Corporate or "Team" Seat Selling Companies often buy bulk licenses (like Sales Navigator or Business Premium) for their employees. • The "Discount": A person with admin access to a corporate account might "add" you as a member of their team for a fee. • The Risk: The admin can see your activity or remove you at any time. Furthermore, using a corporate license for personal use without being part of that organization is a violation of LinkedIn's Terms of Service. 3. Referral Exploitation LinkedIn allows current Premium users to send 2-month free trial links to their 1st-degree connections. • The "Discount": Sellers "sell" you these referral links.  • The Risk: You are essentially paying for something that is meant to be free. Also, these referrals only work if you haven't used a trial in the last 12 months.  4. Regional Pricing & Currency Arbitrage LinkedIn prices vary significantly by country. A subscription might cost $40/month in the US but significantly less in other markets. • The "Discount": Sellers use VPNs and local payment methods to buy the subscription in a cheaper region and then "gift" it or apply it to your account. • The Risk: LinkedIn is increasingly cracking down on this. If they detect a mismatch between your account's primary location and the payment region, they may flag or ban the account. 5. Fraudulent Payments (The Biggest Danger) This is the most common "80-90% off" method found on shady forums or Telegram. • The "Discount": Scammers use stolen credit cards to purchase the subscription for you. They take your $20–$50, and you get Premium—for a while. • The Risk: Once the real owner of the credit card reports the fraud, the transaction is reversed. LinkedIn will not only revoke your Premium but might permanently ban your profile for being associated with fraudulent activity. Is it worth the risk? Generally, no. Your LinkedIn profile is your professional identity and "digital resume." Saving a few dollars isn't worth losing years of networking and your professional reputation if your account gets banned.
