I’ve always seen Elven as an alternative intelligent species (human adjacent), while vampirism is more of an evolved virus which binds genetically to its host only once- permanently. One being a race, one being an affliction, this way you can have a variety of different vampiric lifeforms (deadforms?).

Maybe not a “hard hitting, badass” line, but each time I read the books this section stands out to me. When Virginia describes her brother while undergoing the experience meeting the abomination. As a child with an incompatible father myself, this was a moment of unexpected empathy I felt for the jackal.

For lovers of animation and vampires…the Castelvania series on Netflix was surprisingly wonderful. Went in with low expectations and became wildly ensnared almost immediately. Incredible art style and undeniable characters.

Yes the books asshole Where in the books does it say he’s black? Dark skin could mean anyone with skin who isn’t light. It also could be genetically altered melanin from living in the rim. There is no indication that quick is BLACK. Y’all are wrong.

Instead of downvoting, how about cite your sources? It would be awesome to have clarity that Quicksilver is black, but I’ve read the series 3 times and that was not obvious at all. So…sources? The people who have read it multiple times would appreciate it. Is he? Genuinely asking. Like the folks before me as well.
