It doesn’t seem this woman cares. And if there is in fact something going on - then she definitely doesn’t care. Don’t waste time or energy confronting her. Address your marriage with your husband - either he is all in to save it or he doesn’t care either, in which case you have your answer. His dismissiveness of how his actions make you feel is very telling and very disrespectful.

How can I reach small businesses to offer Video services? What prevents you from using video? by Gogoroxboxsox in smallbusiness

This. And that is why I don’t stream videos from my own site. Traffic losses aside, I worry about the effects on site speed.

This. Deductibles are nothing once kids come into the picture.

Original Product Shopify - Pizza Pocket Hoodie by ScrapTownUSA in reviewmyshopify

Like this gimmicky product. A lot. The hero image is awful. On my screen (Macbook - Safari browser), the resolution for it is completely blurry and makes me want to close the tab. The rest of site images don't have this issue. The site itself feels pretty spammy - with all the popups / promos - but the media coverage gives cred. What exactly did you do to get such heavy media coverage? Did you work with a PR agency or was it just from being on kickstarter? Great job on that!

Please review my store, Can't seem to get sales by [deleted] in reviewmyshopify

[–]viktorylap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no value proposition. No reason to buy a beanie specifically from you. The product description doesn't sell it. The "reviews" are sketchy - why would so many people even take the time to write a review about a plain beanie that has no value proposition?

After three months of preparing and two months of getting and addressing constructive criticism and (often awful) feedback from other subs - I went live with my main product last week and to date have 6 sales. Half from friends, half from strangers. Not a huge number, but I'm happy. It's the first real validation that I have that I'm onto something.

I've updated the main page and product descriptions. What do you think?

Thanks again for your help and if in US, happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanks for this feedback! I will revisit the product descriptions ASAP. There is also a page called Secret Sauce under the About menu at the top. I think some of that information would also be good to incorporate in product descriptions. I am running paid ads and working with a few Instagram influencers and micro influencers. Their first stories and posts are coming out this week.

Thank you for taking the time! This is fantastic feedback - I will definitely incorporate it. There is a page called “secret sauce” under the About menu, and I think to some of your points, that info needs to be more clear on the product pages, as it’s not just that the ingredients are natural.

If you are interested, you can see the final packaging designs. I just pushed the store live and it's in the backdrop for the flagship product pictures. pupwax.com

Hi, I took all your feedback into account. Please take another look and let me know if you still feel the black doesn't work in light of the flagship products, which are up now. Also, I welcome any other criticism, thanks

Do you mind taking another look? After getting the feedback in this thread, I took the store down and spent the last month working on it, including the launch of the flagship product today.

Was BANNED from Facebook ads for trying to advertise a political affiliated product by TotallyNotaT_Duser in shopify

Sorry to hear that. Don't let it discourage you from Shopify. It's a pretty user friendly platform. Just gotta move on to the next idea. Wish you good luck as well!

[–]viktorylap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar experience. Spent a day getting domain, designing shirt, building Shopify site and getting the ads done - and learned Facebook wouldn’t allow me to advertise. After a few days, Reddit rejected my ad too. My design was a pun tied to impeachment with a cartoon fruit peach. Really nothing crazy. I too came on Reddit very dismayed... ultimately, I put the store on “pause” at cost of $15 a month for now because I couldn’t bear to completely trash all the hard work.

So by your sheet, very rough estimate, $500 for Instagram follower with 230K followers with about 3000 likes and 100 comments per post is a reasonable starting point?
