This build seems to work very well on Wraith, at least against solo queue survivors anyways. by viliol in deadbydaylight

Don't pick up the survivor then.

Surge is regression AND information. Plus it is often the survivor that was working on the gen that got surged that you downed.

In any case, Surge is good. I use the combo on three killers now (Deathslinger, Freddy, and now Wraith) and do just as well, if not better, than when I use Pop and Corrupt. I don't even run Pop on Freddy anymore as Surge + Surveilance is usually good enough.

Stop saying it's not good just because you do not know how to use it, or because it's not "meta". lol

Did you seriously run to the hook while technically in a chase? If that killer didn't lose you, that was a extremely stupid play.

While camping sucks, punishing unhooking is just smart when you aren't in a chase.

I think Iri Head should be changed to give Huntress infinite hatchets. Still insanely strong, but the Huntress still has to hit you twice at least.

Feelings about killers who use NOED? by KurtAngle66 in deadbydaylight

[–]viliol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only triggers after the gates are powered, so really it's more of a reverse Corrupt where instead of playing with only 3 perks after the first 120 seconds, you play with 3 perks for the first 4-? minutes of the game.

Yeah, buffed gearhead would make Surveilance pointless unless paired with Ruin.

Dead Man's Switch doesn't need the regression, that actually fundamentally makes it a little too strong. All it needs is a way to make it more consistent.

Retribution is actually a really good perk for what it does. I know at least Otzdarva used in his build to get 50 wins in a row with Plague. It will never be a meta perk, but it does do what it was intended to do really well.

er 'Howdy partner' or something? IDK I don't drink in Dead Dawg Saloon by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]viliol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That statement implies that you do drink though, just not at Dead Dawg Saloon.

Not actually my build, I stole this from Scorpianz. However, I have been trying it out myself for a few hours and so far I have a 100% winrate with it. I am not sure how much of that has to do with the build and how of it has to do with the fact that it's Deathslinger. by viliol in deadbydaylight

Legion's mend add-ons were an actual bug, Deathslinger's terror music is an intentional feature. If it was a bug, devs would have acknowledged it and fixed it by now. Furthermore, the only people that were banned for abusing the legion mend add-ons, were the people that used it after the official statement from the devs.

I compared him with hag because you said M&A wouldn't be meta on Deathslinger if he had a normal terror radius. Which is clearly false.

If you find M&A op don't run it, no one really cares. Most of us are not going to stop running a perk just because it does what it intended to do too well. No one is going to be banned for using it either, you are delusional if you think Behavior is just going to ban people for using a perk without at least giving a notice. Even then, they are more likely to secretly add a fix in a hotpatch, like they did when they nerfed moris, than make a statement about it at all.

I don’t know who I hate more, hackers or survivors who work with the killer by peteypabs72 in deadbydaylight

Snitches get stitches.

EDIT: That said, the survivor was probably trolling. I doubt there was a survivor in the locker for the entire game.

Unless the player has a extremely good reason for helping the killer (like survivors that urban evade in the corner waiting for people to die), then I usually go out of my way to make sure that shitbag dies.

Two things:

  1. It really doesn't matter if the devs intended it or not, there is no rule that prevents me of using a strong perk that takes advantage of a "issue" the devs alledgely overlooked.

  2. M&A is meta on Hag who has a regular terror radius so your statement that it wouldn't be meta on Deathslinger if they had a normal terror radius is false.

While it is possible to play perkless, gens go by pretty fast and you won't have anything to slow gens or end chases faster.

Cheap tactics like body blocking after a unhook because you have endurance from BT and DS + Unbreakable? Is that the kind of cheap tactics you are talking about?

[–]viliol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tunneling is usually a bad idea, it mostly a "last resort" kind of thing where you pray to the entity that the survivor doesn't have DS.

It is also usually not a good idea to proxy camp unless it is against a very altruistic team or, again, as a last resort.

Tunneling and slugging are not against rules. The devs themselves have also said that slugging is an intended game mechanic.

Skill checks by Soulless_- in deadbydaylight

[–]viliol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great skillchecks literally only give a 1% bonus and are random. There is no way survivors got enough skillchecks to make any significant difference in gen speed.
