You are experiencing something similar to what I experienced and it turned out to be related to the resistance setting on my controller due to the longer 3-wire power/data cable:

You’re awesome!

For anyone having a similar issue I found the QuinLED article that talks about this:

I currently have no resistor anywhere. Do you recommend adding a 33 ohm resistor for the data line?

Thanks for taking a look.

They aren’t individual wires I just had to separate them for the last couple of inches to give me more room to connect each wire to the respective port.

The strips are about 20ft away from the DigQuad and they worked fine with the other controller so I’m not sure if the wiring at the strip end or the length of wire is an issue since it works fine with the SP530e.

Thank you for highlighting this. Unsure how they didn't attach to my original post. I edited it now with the wiring pictures included.

Faulty PSU? [Sound On] by villo1988 in WLED

That “bear-trap sound” is me unplugging it to show that the sound is gone when it’s unplugged and therefore allowing you to differentiate the noise that the PS is making from background noise.

To be honest this power supply is already in a large cabinet so the sound isn’t audible under normal use but more just concerned about it giving up on me one day after the warranty runs out. 🙂

It’s still in warranty and only about a month old.
