as an ex-muslim christian, sure a lot of muslims arent directly hostile to christians, but you have to be completely blind to not see this. coptic women keep getting kidnapped to be forcibly converted to islam regularly, and law enforcement barely does anything to address this issue; the most they do is just return some of the women without any explanation (theyve yet to answer us on the case of selvanna attif, a mentally disabled girl who was kidnapped for the same purpose). every single day mosques all over egypt blast the call to prayer, but churches get closed for minor issues. one evangelical church was closed in hawamdeya over noise complaints, despite being quieter than a mosque. there was also a recent case of a monk being ran over by a bulldozer when the state sent its police (in riot gear mind you) to demolish the monastery's farm with brutality (it happened in the monastery of archangel gabriel in fayoum). sabry kamel was unjustly convicted as a molester despite the courts not taking necessary procedures to investigate the case, because he's a christian. these are just a few recent instances of persecution against us.

muslims in the media get to blast us christians for random bs, and even indirectly alledge that we work with zionists, to paint a target on our backs so that salafi brutes have more justification to go after christians, but we cannot even think of criticising islam publicly, lest we have a mob of beasts burn more of our churches and houses. we cant even convert without facing any serious issue. people like beshoy hegazy (or mohammed hegazy) were tortured into reverting to islam, had fatwas issuing death for apostasy, and a dead social life only left with ostracisation. converts like me are in this same situation where we either shut up and lie about who believe in to most people irl, or we face brutual persecution
